4.0 out of 5 stars LaToya's Last Serious Album Of The 90s., December 9, 2006
By Jurai's Heir "Tenchi Masaki" (Denham Springs, LA, USA) - See all my reviews
This album was released shortly after LaToya's book was published, hence the title. Despite only featuring 8 original tracks, this album remains a favorite among European fans and contains a mixture of fierce europop, smooth house and down tempo dance tracks. Be My Playboy (originally from Bad Girl) appears here in remixed form and Reggae Nights is a Grammy nominated song written by LaToya for Jimmy Cliff back in the 80's. Here LaToya offers her own interpretation of the track, with really good vocals on the album too. "No Relations" was released in different parts of Europe and later was available on import around the world. This was LaToya's last album of original songs, until "Startin' Over" was recorded. This album was originally released by "Pump Records" and this is the actual song list:

1. Sexbox
2. Wild Side
3. Submission
4. Reggae Nights
5. Could This Be Love We're Making
6. To Prove My Love
7. Times Are Changing
8. Be My Playboy
9. Let's Rock The House
10. Sexbox (Album version)

5.0 out of 5 stars La toya's Best Work to date, November 23, 2008
This album is La Toya's last album of original work and was only released in certain parts of Europe and South America in 1991; Later being imported throughout the world. It was re-issued in 1994 on CD. The album's first Single "Sexbox" was heavily promoted and had a huge campaign in Holland and Germany. The result was the single made #25 on the dutch charts, making it La Toya's second biggest dutch hit. The second single, "Let's Rock The House" was released shortly after to no success. The song failed to chart anywhere. "Wildside" also was released as a single, but only in Taiwan. The album was produced by Menace, John Bartels, Victor Franco, Damon Rochefort, Tony Monn, Marc Harman Profession. The album is an uptempo Hip-House/R&B Pop cd, mastering the early 90's club scene sound. There are no ballads to be found on this cd. The direction of the album was for La Toya to represent sexuality in a black madonna form as she tried to do with Bad Girl and La Toya (You're Gonna Get Rocked) following the release of her first playboy spread.`The set of songs are Arguably La Toya's best with the exception of Playboy and Reggae Nights and SexBox. Both Songs are from La Toya's past so she should've left them there. This Project, Along with almost all of La Toya's Recordings, remains hard to find and if found, sold at a very high price.
