4.0 out of 5 stars Metal Fan 4 Ever, August 28, 2007
This review is from: No Rest for the Wicked (Audio CD)
I think this was Helix's finest LP.It has two of my all time favorite songs.Heavy Metal Love, and Dirty Dog(wich they didn't even play at they're concert). This is Jamming Heavy Metal before the influence of the POP side of the Industry took control and changed most bands. If you buy this one remember to Crank up Dirty Dog !!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic 80's Hair Metal, July 22, 2005
This review is from: No Rest For The Wicked (Audio CD)
Do you like 80's metal? Awesome guitar solo's? High energy Rock n roll? Then you need this CD for your collection. This band never received the attention they deserved lost in the shuffle with Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and other bands that couldn't come close to the music Helix produced. Don't look for hidden meanings or statements about the decay of society. This is rock n roll at its purest form.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Time Rock From Helix, November 8, 2004
This review is from: No Rest For The Wicked (Audio CD)
Got this album after seeing the video for Heavy Metal Love, what a great song! This album is full of good time Helix rock. The best songs are Does A Full Ever Learn, HML, Don't Get Mad Get Even (rocks), Dirty Dog (fun catchy song), and Never Wanna Lose You (the ballad). I think Walking The Razors Edge is their best but this album should be in your metal collection too. Crank it and break open some beers!

5.0 out of 5 stars ah the memories, December 9, 2002

This review is from: No Rest for the Wicked (Audio CD)
back in '84 I bought the tape of "no rest for the wicked" and my tape player in my '73 vw van ate it. so I took it back to the record shop and thought i'd just exchange it since I didn't get to here any of it. and the guy there said."you can't miss this one, these dudes got it together"... well I gave it another listen and the rest is history, as is the van, the tape and the band. The other day I kept hearing the opening drum beat and chords from "Ain't no high like rock n roll" in my head and couldn't shake it, so here I am some eighteen years later buying the CD. Any band that can pull me in from obscurity definately deserves five stars. whoa yeah...

This is hidden gem! If your idea of a good time is a CD filled to the brim with class party anthems then this one is not gonna disappoint one bit! Great drinkin music and in some ways similar to nine versions of Kiss' Rock and Roll Alnite with a ballad for good measure on one silver disc! Praise be to God! Tryin to discuss individual trax would be defeatest here...cause basically they are all the same (and believe me thats not a bad thing here) Large and loud chunks of cheezy, bighair rock! Queensryche this ain't so beware! Picture this and I quote from Helix themselves..."Lookin for action, cruisin down the street, turn the radio up louder, listen to the beat"....Get the picture? Dumb, hell yeah, but great fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars What a debut, June 10, 2000

This review is from: No Rest For The Wicked (Audio CD)
Heavy Metal Love, their first video, their first stab at the U.S. charts. This album rocks from start to finish. White Lace and Black Leather, No Rest For The Wicked, there is so much good music on this disc for the 80's metal maven. I hope their other discs get re-released soon, this is some serious power rock that needs to be brought back to the forefront of the ever drowning music world of today. Helix was a breath of fresh air and to this day noone sounds quite like them. Check this and any other Helix out. I highly reccommend it.

This review is from: No Rest for the Wicked (Audio CD)
I bought this on tape back in 83 for the song never want to loose you which was on the radio all the time.
I can't believe it isn't considered the best song on the cd or even available on Itunes I guess I was the only one who heard it?? Crazy
