If you appreciate the great talent of Althea Rene, you will love this cd. The track selections are well produced and performed. The cd has only 9 tracks and is worth the price. However, I think that her fans are going to want to have more tracks on the next cd. Her talent is definately capable of affording her fans of at least 10-12 tracks per cd. You cannot go wrong with this cd. Great job!!!!!!

Sexy flute diva Althea Rene strikes gold again, with her newest release, NO RESTRICTIONS. This former Wayne County, Michigan Deputy Sheriff, now a dynamic full-time recording, performing, and touring artist, takes the flute to new heights of sensuality and groovitude with this CD, creating a delicious urban contemporary sound with a jazzy, R&B vibe. Think of it as "Quiet Storm" kicked up a notch! Her well-chosen set list for this project includes two outstanding covers ("I Love Your Smile" and "Wishing on a Star") plus a seductive, languid read on the immortal Gershwin classic "Summertime." The other six tracks are originals, penned in part by Althea herself and her producers, including Grammy winner Michael Broening and Grammy nominee Rex Rideout. The title track, also the lead single from this album, sets an impressive pace for an outstanding collection of music. Althea Rene's NO RESTRICTIONS is a no-brainer. Go for it! ~SCOTT O'BRIEN

After previewing this cd on line, I was somewhat impressed. Then, after I got it home, popped it in my cd player in my truck and listened....all I could say was WOW! I had to take it out of the cd player and make sure it was the one I thought. Ms. Rene is absolutely fabulous! Get your ears ready, get this cd, pump the volume and be prepared to be taken away by this smmoth jazz artist. I am a fan of Ms. Althea Rene....YOU GO GURL!

How wonderful it is to move to a city that has so much to offer in the way of music , i recently moved to " HOUSTON TEXAS " and it is filled with all types of music. But i especially like the JAZZ SCENE and one of my great surprises was a new talent , at least new to me " ALTHEA RENE " who plays the flute in a way that makes you stop what you are doing,pour a glass of wine and lay back and take this smooth jazz journey with her. The "RED CAT JAZZ CAFE " features her often , so you can enjoy her live also.The cd " NO RESTRICTIONS " is some of her best work , I especially like " WISHING ON A STAR " which is a version of an oldie but goodie by " ATLANTIC STAR " but all tracks are exceptional and will provide the listener with a well rounded listening experience.
