Nothing deep or earth shattering but just what I was expecting when I started to read it, a good quick satisfying romance novel. A woman's overwhelming fears and her journey to overcome them provide the background for this love story between a young business woman trying to regain control of her life and a self-defense instructor who needed her to become whole again himself. This was the first book I have read by this author and I definitely read some of her others.

I am a great fan of Barbara Bretton and tucked this little gem of a story in my purse to read on occasion. This is a nice love story written by Ms Bretton in earlier days -- well written and moves right along. Stephanie wants to feel secure in the world but she cannot move on with confidence unless she can break her fear of feeling helpless and defenseless. She meets a handsome stranger who shows her the way to freedom and love -- if she is willing to take the chance. Great little romantic fling to read!
