No Salt Sodium-Free Salt is without doubt the best-tasting salt substitute with the least aftertaste that we have found.

My co-author, Paul Elliott, and I spent two years developing recipes for The Collard Patch. Since we wanted to make our recipes as healthy as possible, we researched the different brands of potassium chloride that we could find. No Salt was much more desirable than any other product we tried.

It tastes more like salt than any other no sodium product.

No Salt brand is the best tasting salt substitute for salt junkies like me and in its original 11 oz form sold at most supermarkets it is also the best value (usually priced on sale @ around $4.95), but here @ from $5.75 to $5.95 with shipping costs ranging from $3.50 and up, the value stinks. You'd be better off buying the Nu Salt brand from Amazon: it's sold in 3 oz shakers, packs of 12 shakers for $16.20, which is about $5.40 per 12 oz of product PLUS you can avoid the shipping cost if you are an Amazon Prime customer. Nu Salt has a slight aftertaste (IMHO), but it doesn't override the cost savings.

This really is the best tasting salt alternative you can buy. I think it is a bit expensive , but it lasts quite awhile. I have been using this for years , but can no longer find it in stores. Thank goodness Amazon carries it!

Sadly, I have a strong salt addiction, so, I decided to buy this product and thus substituting the table salt I regularly consume. However, it tastes HORRIBLE! You are now warned.

I had such high hopes for this product as I am embarking on a low sodium diet. In my humble opinion, it has a terrible aftertaste. It can only be used in miniscule amounts and that defeats its purpose. It cannot deliver a salty taste without a lingering aftertaste. Sorry.

This is the best sodium free alternative there is...it's pleasant tasting and feels like salt on the tongue. Some of the others leave a bitter aftertaste but this one enriches foods. Since I eat a lot of low-sodium soups, I find this additive a necessity to making meals a lot more enjoyable. I carry it with me in my carry on, just to make sure I have it on trips...no sense in getting a blood pressure spike just because I couldn't find my product.

All of a sudden, even a tiny amount of salt hits my blood pressure out of the park. As a chip-aholic, I was really suffering from potato chip withdrawal. I originally found some no-salt chips at a heart healthy store on line which are inedible without salt, so I thought I would try this product. When the product first arrived, I tried a little taste by itself, and it tasted awful; however, I found that if I just put a very tiny little bit on the chips, I will get the taste result of regular salt. I also use it to "salt" burgers etc while they are cooking, and it works great.
