Let It Snow - at least while you're wrapped in, November 29, 1998
this heartwarming story of love. Sherry Lewis tugs at the heartstrings as she weaves a Christmas tale that is a true joy. Marti is coming home, trying to repair a relationship with her son, but in order to forge a new beginning she must learn to face the past. Rick is back in Colorado to face a few ghosts from his past as well. Seperately, both face difficult battles, but together anything seems possible. As their ghosts are put to rest, Marti and Rick find something wonderful in the aftermath - they find each other. Picking up any book written by Sherry Lewis is a pleasure, and Let It Snow was no exception. It was one of the best presents I gave myself during this busy holiday season!

Nice, clean christmas romance - one of my favorites!, September 29, 2005
I've read this book every year since I discovered it in a thrift store four years ago. It's a touching story about a divorcee and a widower finding love. The best part? It's completely clean. You could let your daughter read this, because there's no sex, just romance.
All of the relationships in the book are wonderfully portrayed. I especially loved how Marti's son, Cameron, developed from a seemingly spoiled, sullen teenager into a well adjusted person. Every time I read the pivotal scene that makes you understand why this kid is such a brat, I start crying. It's just so touching.
The characters were well drawn (not just the hero and heroine, but everyone), and the struggles they all went through seemed completely real. I don't read that many Harlequin books, as not many of them are "keepers", but every now and then, you'll find a gem. This is one of them. You won't regret buying this book. I never did!

Heartwarming Christmas Romance, July 2, 2011
LET IT SNOW is a contemporary romance that takes place around Christmas time. Rick Dennehy lost his wife two years before, a week before Christmas. They had purchased some land in Colorado and built some cabins with the intention of eventually living there. Bitterness took its place where hope previously existed. All Rick wanted to do was sell the buildings and land and forget the hurt feelings they brought. The problem was they were now falling apart for lack of use. It would cost him too much to hire someone to fix them up so he decided to use his vacation to get them back in order. Then he would finally leave.
Marti Johansson was back in Colorado to visit her father. Her son Cameron was with her. She was hoping they would both finally fix their relationship. Cameron blamed Marti for the divorce from his dad. Her father also had misunderstandings about why she was no longer married. She was hoping for a special time for healing their grudges.
By accident, literally, Rick and Marti meet. From there on, the story flows. Gil, Marti's ex-husband reappears and causes some resentment. Thoughts of Rick's deceased wife are hovering in the background. Lastly, Cameron and Marti's father still have anger that they need to let go. Surprisingly, with all these problems, Rick and Marti reach out to each other and learn to forgive their own pasts. If you are looking for a light Christmas romance this is a good book to read.
