About the Author
Janice Harris Lord has worked professionally with families of those killed suddenly and violently for more than 25 years. She is licensed both as a social worker and professional counselor. She served as the National Director of Victim Services for Mothers Against Drunk Driving for 14 years and is now a national consultant on crime victim issues. She has appeared on numerous media shows including Oprah Winfrey, Sally Jesse Raphael, and Good Morning America. She was honored by former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno for her exemplary services to victims of crime.
