5.0 out of 5 stars John Dawson Winter III
This collection is actually a combination of the Johnny Winter And cd and the long out of print John Dawson Winter III lp with a few songs missing - notably Roll With Me and Sweet Papa John. But there is some great stuff on here if youre a JDW fan. Self Destructive blues . Mind Over Matter , Pick Up My Mojo and John Lennons Rock And Roll People make this well worth...

While occasionally coming across references to a jap lp sleeve issue of John Dawson Winter III, this is the only way to get the majority of that overlooked album that I'm aware of. Being obsessive and having to have those great songs, I ordered this disc despite having concerns that the label is not known to me.

The sound quality is substandard, almost as if some processing or noise reduction isn't properly decoded. There are no highs on this cd, but if you gotta have it...

Well, the content of this album is just great, one has to say.
The question here is that this particular edition has this blunt sound, a complete lack of highs that is just frustrating.
I wished I'd had the thought of writing this before, but it's never so late someone else can avoid the mistake.
Look for some other version. You'll be better off.
