Good music, but needed better production., April 8, 2010
This review is from: No Turning Back (Audio CD)
High Noon never achieved success, in fact they never even signed a record deal. After one listen, I could only wonder why? These guys seemed to have a great sound, they wrote good songs and had Michale Lardie from Great White on their side. I can only summarize, that with the mass influx of bands to the LA area, these guys were simply lost in the shuffle.
The major problem with this release is the majority of the songs are in demo form. The six that are professionally recorded are outstanding, and I would have to think if these guys would have been signed, and recorded a whole album of tunes, they would have been killer. The best song on the record is Have My Heart, a blistering rocker that should have torched the charts in the 1980's. The other songs mentioned are all good, they just lack proper production.
I can only say, if you love all things Hair-Metal like myself, give this record a try. If you prefer only the radio songs, I would shy away from this, and buy only Motley Crue or Poison.
