About the Author

Charlie Hayes (14 Dec 1936) was a spiritual seeker since 1974. He had tried many paths, many practices and many gurus for over thirty years. Finally in 2004 he met an American Sage named John Wheeler, and in 2005 traveled to Melbourne, Australia, to meet with John’s Teacher, "Sailor" Bob Adamson. Bob, and John, provided the pointers to Charlie’s True Nature, and ultimately all suffering and seeking for “enlightenment simply ended. And now, and nothing is really missing. Nothing is wrong any more Life is as it is – and wherever we go, Here and Now, we Are. This is Absolute Freedom – and Effortless Living. I really love this book. The author writes forcefully with a level of spiritual clarity that's only possible from someone with direct experience. Using quotes, dialogue and a lot of humor, Charlie relentlessly exposes how the mind gets caught up in the illusion of separation. This book is very readable, accessible and makes a significant contribution to non-dual literature. Highly recommended.

This book is an invitation to freedom. A burdenless freedom that you are/have been seeking. A freedom that you already ARE and need not attain! A freedom that the concept of "you/I/me" arises and subsides within only as a temporary appearance; an insubstantial mirage. You are THAT freedom in which bondage appears within. You are not a person. You are not a concept. This book is a sharing and an invitation to investigate into the validity and nature of this "me" or "I" that has been assumed and believed to be real and who I am. This investigation is not about attaining and learning new concepts/knowledge to be agreed/disagreed with that will ultimately lead "you" to a final understanding and/or enlightenment. Who will actually get enlightened upon reading this book? If the answer is "me", then the true message/pointers offered in the words and concepts of this book are not being utilized for their intention. Where is this "me"/this person that says "I am me"? Can you locate it? What is it referring to? Upon relentless investigation(who am I?, what am I? where am I?), it will be revealed that this person is a "ghost in the machine". A thought is confirming itself to be real! Check this out for yourself. When this is seen, over and over and over, when it is really SEEN that this me is nowhere to be found, then the peace and freedom you've been seeking reveals itself(always now) to be what you already ARE; what you REALLY ARE. Nothing will be attained upon reading this book. That is not its intent. If anything, this "you" will be dismantled, seen through and the belief structures(that I am me) will collapse under investigation. What I truly am is not a concept and/or a thought. Read this book, accept the invitation to investigate, and see for "yourself"...Go and see if you can find the root cause of your suffering(the belief I am me/a person who is...). Thank you, Charlie for your compassion and relentless willingness to point and share what has been shared with you; that which ends the search and all psychological suffering. Charlie Hayes genuinely lives as he speaks. In "No Way Out" he hammers home the understanding that is needed for clear seeing of What Is, and most certainly what is NOT.
The words are down to earth and seem to come alive on the pages, as if you are hearing them spoken.

He just lays it out there as "one" who not only possesses the absolute understanding that is talked about in the book, but as the Living Essence of this knowingness.

Clear seeing "happens" by getting past the mind, so the way the teaching is expressed can make all the difference. All flows very naturally in these writings.

There's an enjoyment that arises here by reading this type of material, even thought the search has ended, so to speak. I still return to the best books on the subject and let the words resonate, and among the best of these books by Charlie.

I wouldn't give too much attention to the negative reviews, if you'll notice, those two fellows go to every one of the author's books making basically the same comment. Surely they didn't read them all if they didn't like one, so how can they give an adequate book review?

You've got nothing to lose, except the idea of who you are!
