What is UP with you fans? LOL

I'm surprised that there is nothing here yet!

Linkin Park has been missing in action for a while now really, besides being on the Transformers soundtrack....

So are you looking forward to this release?

im looking forward to it, but the one track that i have heard off of it has me worried. Not what i look for in Linkin park. Not too bad for a techno other band but not linkin park. i miss meteora and hybrid theory

Hopefully they will get back to when they were great, Meteora and Hybrid Theory days. There were plently of good songs on Minutes To Midnight but some of it was awful (namely the 2nd half). Hopefully this album will be far better.

I just really hope that I like this album, otherwise I'm going to be p*ssed. (Note that I didn't say that everyone has to like it. As long as I, the listener, like it, then mission fulfilled).

I hate spending money on things unless I really, truly enjoy them. After the way things have gone in the past with Linkin Park, while I'd love to jump in and pre-order the CD, all this "experimentation" talk makes me nervous. I don't want to waste my $13 on a CD when I only end up liking one song - or worse, none.

Almost tempts me to wait and smuggle a ripped version from somewhere. (Ooh, are the cops looking?)

I really, really had high hopes for this album a couple weeks ago but now with their latest song out, I can't help but be a bit doubtful... The Catalyst *I have to admit* was mildly annoying. It would have been fine if they didn't repeat the same stuff over and over again for a couple seconds and left it as a two and a half minute song. I don't think I'll be wasting my money on this one...

I'm looking forward to it, but understand those who don't after hearing the tracks that have been released.

I like that they constantly are trying new things, even if I hate it, as I think it's better than just rehashing the same old sound over and over and over like so many radio rock bands do today.

It also helps that I listen to a LOT of alternative stuff, so oddly mixed sounds and less instrumental emphasis actually appeal to me.

One of Linkin Park's bigger fans from day one. After Minutes to Midnight, I was severely disappointed with the fact that they wanted to "change their style of music"...Why would you change your style of music when the good rock got you so popular and famous...After a lot of reading, I have already started getting ready for yet another disappointment. Be ready for yet another "Non-Linkin Park Album". I will call it quits after this album if it's anything "not rockish", even after years of being a huge fan.

Ive listen to the whole album about 23 times now and can say its NOT their old stuff. Its all over the place and is their best work to date. Its groundbreaking. This is barely rock influenced; so if youre looking for that old sound.... forget about it! I give this cd a 5/5

I just listened to the album and I don't really like it too much at all. I liked Hybrid Theory and Meteora. I didn't like M2M too much besides a couple tracks and this sounds like M2M but worse cause I didn't find a single track I really liked.

anyone who says this is their best work and is groundbreaking has issues. This sounds like some generic crap that would be played in a dance club. I'm surprised Lady Gaga and T-Pain didn't have cameos on the songs. Linkin Park use to have a great unique sound, but now this sounds like the rest of the garbage on pop radio. I agree with the guy that says it's worse than minutes to midnight. Not one single track stood out amongst this mess. Please go back to your roots LP.

K. Breckenridge thanks for those words, this album is an obvious profitable attempt. As I will, I hope to see harsh critics about this on Sept 14.

Neither would make anything as bad as the Catalyst...well, T-Pain might...

Ive gone to a top notch audio Engineering school in AZ where I was able to discuss Linkin Park with some high end producers. That Nu-Metal that you crave is dead. This Linkin Park album takes their old traditional boring song stucture and turns it into something progessive and experimental. Hybrid Theory is something that could not be re-created. If you want that kind of music go buy a Limp Bisquick cd. Mark my words, this album will be anything but sucessful. Quit living in the past. Music always progessive. As time changes so does music. Issues? Well you will eat your words. Just ask Rick Rubin.

Cos' even the blueprint is a gift and a curse
Cos' once you have the theory of how the thing works
Everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first

And I'm not a robot
I'm not a monkey
I will not dance even if the beat's funky
Opposite of lazy, far from a punk
Y'all oughta stop talking, start tryin' to catch up MF
