NoJo Jungle Tales Musical Mobile

I'm surprised that people have rated this mobile so high - I guess people aren't that picky.

The only good thing about this mobile is that it matches the rest of the Jungle Tales set.

As for the bad things

- It doesn't play nearly long enough
- Winding it is very LOUD
- The music is very LOUD
- The music sounds like a cheap music box
- Did I mention it doesn't play long enough?

In my world the purpose of the mobile is to entertain the child as well as sooth it to sleep with the music. Well with this one you wind it up and hope that the LOUD winding doesn't startle the baby.

Then you let it play and it's a LOUD and cheap sound.

And as I said it only plays for a minute or 2. I don't know about your baby but my baby isn't going to be soothed to sleep by something so short.

Why it has an on and off switch I have no idea.

We'll be buying a new mobile.

Thanks for reading. I would look else where unless you just want to have the matching mobile and aren't worried about the music part.

This mobile is great! Looks great, sounds great and works perfectly! We bought this because we have the matching bedding and are very happy with it! Highly recommend.

This mobile is a little on the flimsy side, but absolutely adorable. The first one I had broke during assembly, but was easily replaced thanks to Amazon's wonderful customer service!

This is a classic mobile that matches the Nojo set perfectly. It's adorable and the music is soothing. It definitely mesmorizes my newborn son.

However, it is a wind-up mobile and it doesn't play foe that long, so turning it gets annoying... I bought this mobile because it matched the set I bought but I ended up getting the Fisher Price Rainforest mobile because it has batteries and plays on it's own.

First, I have to admit that I only wanted and purchased this mobile b/c I wanted to be all matchy matchy.
Plus, being that this was my first child and you know how 'everything needs to be perfect' attitude.
It is cute and does go well with everything but it's just so 'blah' compared to the other 'hi-tech' looking mobiles I've looked at after setting this one up.
I'll probably use this one for the first three months then get a much more interactive or mind stimulating one made by fisher price or graco or something.
Oh and if it doesn't say, it's a wind-up and plays/sounds just like one of those jewelry box/music box.

I read the reviews before I got this and although some reviews said it's loud winding it up and doesn't play for long I still thought it was super cute and bought it anyway to go with my set. We are not due until July but my husband and I put this together anyway right away just to see how it would work because of all the reviews I read on it. In our opinion it's a great mobile. SUPER cute - the animals are adorable and yes it does only play for 3 minutes but to me that's not a big deal. Also, I didn't think it was loud at all when we were winding it up. I would recommend this mobile to anyone!

Ended up buying another one from Tiny Love that not only was battery operated, but also lasted for 20 min, came with a remote and you can use the music piece after you have to remove the mobile portion. Hoping that I can sell this one and recoup most of the money.

Just the right price and just what I was looking for. Extra bonus: the pole cover is the same color as the nursery!

I thought this mobile was adorable and ordered it. We got it home before our baby was born and tried it and it was wonderful. Though after about 1 month of using it (using it a few times a day over our changing table), the music box started going out and playing off key. We have been using it with it's off-key melody for the past 2 months and now it makes this loud grinding noise. I am going to throw it out and buy a lower end mobile for $20 from a department store and hopefully have better success. I hope this was just a defective one and that this isn't the experience for others. Unfortunately the one I got was junk!

I ordered this as a gift, it was very much appreciated and I'm glad I found just what I was looking for!
