Since this book is called a feasibility study, Woodmorappe is not required to produce evidence that Noah actually built an Ark and saved the world's animal population. All he has to do is take what is written in Genesis and devise a way to make the story sound "feasible", but his definition of feasible leaves a lot to be desired. No matter how far fetched or how...

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute powerhouse., November 2, 1999

This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
It is on rare occasion that one encounters a book such as "Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study." In this seminal monograph, author and researcher John Woodmorappe levies a virtual maelstrom of cogent argumentation at any and all detractors of the Ark of Noah. Woodmorappe, through careful study and painstaking documentation, answers critics past and present, and probably will effectively silence those in the near future.

If there is any questions a reader may have concerning the Ark, Woodmorappe is sure to address them in his book. From Ark carrying capacity (given Biblical dimensions) to waste management to potentially finicky eaters (like the koala and vampire bats), the facts and evidence are brought to bear, the results speak volumes: the Ark was more than capable of sustaining the (overly) generous estimates of life to be housed on the Ark for the year-long duration of the Great Flood.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the potential for the Ark of Noah. The book will reinforce proponents, and will silence the skeptics. Woodmorappe has done the Creationist movement a profound service in writing "Noah's Ark", and it will no doubt be a reference of the utmost importance in the years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars A solid and interesting presentation packed with information, October 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
This book is loaded with down-to-earth information on ways that Noah's Ark could have been implemented. Based on actual studies and practices of animal husbandry, food storage, waste management, and other practical considerations, each chapter demonstrates how a realistic assemblage of animals could be gathered and maintained on the Ark. I found this information especially compelling when later reading cases of animals surviving abusive conditions for long periods of time. Whereas so much data could easily become simply a dry compilation, its presentation here holds the reader's attention as one seemingly insurmountable problem after another is shown to be not only solvable, but already solved in historical or current examples. Quite apart from its great value as an explanation of the natural and practical solutions to the difficulties of preserving all the major kinds of land vertebrates during a global cataclysm, I found it enjoyable to learn about the imaginative low-tech solutions for raising large numbers of animals and about remarkable engineering and other accomplishments of the past.

5.0 out of 5 stars Woodmorappe presents clear answers for many question., October 29, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
Woodmorappes book answers a lot of questions on how Noah could have cared for the animals on the ark for just over a year. I was amazed with the common sense logic presented by John Woodmorappe. This out of the box style of thinking puts a rest to all of the evolutionary minded "cannots" . The bottom line....Noah and the ark were feasable. This book clearly belongs on everyones book shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-read for those who have questions about Noah's Ark., October 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
John Woodmorappe is an exhaustive researcher on the subject of the veracity of scripture in the light of science. Every major question concerning Noah's Ark is answered in this book.

I have had the privilege of meeting the author and doing geological field work with him. In his search for truth, he examines every possible scenario, allows for worst-case predictions, and shows that the design and construction of Noah's ark for the task of carrying God's creation through the flood was more than adequate.

5.0 out of 5 stars It could be true!, November 18, 1999

This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
This book has received so many good reviews, so it may not need another... But, I have read it, and it answers most of the questions that may need answers, concerning Noah's Ark. In this respect it is certainly a 5-star book! It is also easy to read (even though it is partly technical), and include parts which may make you happy (or at least you will smile). A must-reading for all those who are critical to the narrative about Noah's Ark!

5.0 out of 5 stars A book to be feared by evolutionists, October 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
Evolutionists have such weak arguments to support naturalistic evolution that they often resort to ridiculing creationists and frequently this ridicule concerns Noah's Ark.

Woodmorappe's well researched scientifically sound study will be extremly difficult for skeptics to deal with. The author meticulously demonstrates that the Ark of Noah is a realistic possiblity.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Review of Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study, November 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
In his book, Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study, John Woodmorappe handles the "tough" questions concerning the alleged problems involved with the Ark of Noah. He attacks the questions and concerns head-on and supplies substantive answers.

This book provides many evidences supporting Flood geology. The author's careful research in Biblical and scientific matters regarding the various topics he addresses is easily seen throughout the work.

I can enthusiastically recommend this book to anyone who is searching for a source of information which provides answers to questions about the construction of the Ark, the maintenance of animals aboard the Ark, post-Flood survival considerations, the post-Flood repopulation of animals, and many more.

5.0 out of 5 stars fasinating, October 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
The author does a scholarly job of demonstrating the Ark of Noah is quite possibly more than a Hebrew myth. In this book Woodmorappe factually answers every conceivable skeptical challenge to the posssibly that the Ark was an actual historical structure.

The implications of this book are profound. It will make evolutionists and atheists shake in their boots.

This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
After managing a web site on the Search for Noahs Ark for thepast four years, I have received hundreds of questions on thefeasibility of Noah's Ark. John's book provides an excellent resource for these types of questions. Without using a religious spin, Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study, provides good scientific and logical explainations for an absolutely incredible and historic event.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful, scholarly study., October 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study (Paperback)
John Woodmorappe has done what many have been waiting for, for many years. His recent publication provides the scholarly study that is so greatly needed. No doubt, some will deliver ranting against this fine work, but let them attempt to attack the science, and they will surely fall short of toppling Woodmorappe's well defined approach to the issue of Noah's Ark. Love him or hate him, but he can't be ignored.

Amazon is to be commended for including this fine work in their expanding catalogue.

Searchers of truth will find this book a wonderful addition to their collections.
