The bare-bones product description "relates how Kate helps her stepsister Meghan to break the spell that has given her the head of a sheep," while accurate, simply doesn't do this little book justice. The celtic elements are enchanting and there is a secondary quest to rescue a prince from the Faery ala Tam Lin. It is refreshing that these step-sisters truly love and support each other! Their admirable traits of cooperation and determination in the face of adversity is applauded. Winslow Pels' illustrations are outstanding as always. About one per chapter. |
