A lively, funny, girlie, very English tale,
By Jenny Blythe "Jenny B" (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Noble Vices (Black Lace) (Paperback)
I really enjoyed this. It is naughty, funny, cynical and at times insightful. The writing is clever, taken from the viewpoint of an upper class English girl who is made out as a complete brat and yet also sympathetic. Again and again I found myself laughing at the situations she gets herself into, which would not have worked had I not felt a touch of jealousy for her privileged background. As is intended for Black Lace titles, it is erotica by a woman and for women, designed to amuse and titillate us girls but unsuited to the more direct (dare I say cruder?) male pysche. The plot is elaborate, at least for an erotic novel, the characters well developed and the viewpoint unusual. I particularly recommend this for any women stuck in a demanding office job.

The Best Black Lace I've Read,
By chatwithme21801 (Maryland, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Noble Vices (Black Lace) (Paperback)
Of all the Black Lace I've read, this one has excited me the most. Sitting alone in bed, I can't help but get aroused after just the first 5 pages! The story is very fun and very erotic. If you are a working girl, a Gen-X girl (or guy), or into spanking, this book will do it for you! Get a drink and a nice bath, along with this book, and you be quite pleased! A great book to start your venture into erotica with!

One of the first books I have read by this author in the Black Lace series and I have to admit that she spent so much time in trying to make the story tie together that the eroticism and sex actually suffers .... Our heroine is hard to figure and as the reader I felt rather ambivalent as miss daddy rich bucks tries to fit into the London media scene. The fact that her daddy bought out the publishing empire where Annabelle was working practivcally wanted to make me vomit .... Sorry just doen't cut it for me .... |
