I have owned this album since I was a 10 year old in '68, and NEVER grow tired of it! Quite possibly THE album of the 60's, sure others were more popular, but if you want to hear a concise, tight band of the 60's look no further. These guys know how to play their instruments. The title track, originally released by the Isley Brothers, is one of the sweetest tunes, still sounds good in 2000. The driving guitar on "Turn on Your Love Light" will make anyone stand up and take notice, on a good stereo system, at max volume it could peel the paint off of your living room wall, shatter glass, and cause your sleeping cat to hiss as he runs for cover. "It's Fun to Be Clean", received limited airplay, and has will turn your mood instantly happy, short of winning the lottery. "Black Is The Color of My True Love", is the opposite, giving you the feel of the troubled times of the late 60's. This whole CD is EXCELLENT, buy it NOW! Not a bad cut anywhere. The Human Beinz will quickly have you transformed back to the 60's, lava lamps and black lights, bell-bottems, paisley neru shirts, and brand new '68 Charger R/T's. A classic CD, deserves 10 stars, not 5!...Ed

"Nobody But Me" by the Human Beinz is one of the best garage rock songs to come out of the 60's. If you like 60's music you need to own this CD. I'm lucky enough to have the album but I also bought the CD.

"Nobody but Me" is one my all time favorite songs. The following songs from this CD are excellent also:

"Foxy Lady"

"Flower Grave"

"Dance on Through"

and the rest are good also.

This CD has some of the best guitar palying you will ever hear and the vocals are great also.

I'm not sure what happened to "The Human Beinz" but I heared the lead singer got drafted. I'm not sure about that but I know if they could have stayed together they would have been at the top of the sales charts in the late 60's.

If you don't own this album or have never heard this band you should buy this CD. You will enjoy it.

"Flower Grave" is reason enough to get this album. If you missed this song the first time through, it has a wicked catchy guitar riff and melody line. With the right promotion, it could have been a hit right up there with "Incense and Peppermints" and "Green Tamborine." Of course we all know the hits. If you go back and crank "Nobody But Me" you will see that it is not only a hit record, but quite innovative as well. Good covers here, too, like "Seuno." Not sure if it is worth the price here but it is a decent album.

This a good addition to my collection as I build on my collection of songs I missed this one. Back then I didn't have all the cash to throw at music. Those days what cash you had went for gas, repairs, and insurance; of course the rest went for girls.

Now that that's behind me and I've got the cars, the girl of my dreams(had to add that she may read this), and a little disposable income I can get better sounding records that I can listen to free of scratches.

This was one of those purchases, you might like too.

If so enjoy.
