I've been a big fan since Dan Marcou's first book ("The Calling") came out. His writing is entertaining and he keeps a good narrative. I love that he shows police in the positive light they deserve. Cops are heroes, and Dan Marcou's cops represent the best of them. Great book, great characters, and a great plot. Thanks, Dan!

All of Dan Marcou's books are great. Very entertaining but "real world" as well. Kinda like what "Cops" on t.v. would be like if a book was written from the filming....

I felt this book had a slow start, because it lacked charcter development. It is not until the reader is well into the book that they learn about the main character's family life, which is necessary to bring his goals and motivations into focus.
The most rewarding aspect is that it shows a high degree of honesty and professionalism in the police department. A few of the old school cops still performed the way it used to be, but that's life.
The book has a very positive ending, which I was hoping for.
This would be a very good read for someone entering law enforcement or has a family member entering that profession.

I hated finishing this book,as it meant the end of the trilogy. I really enjoyed reading these books.
