Very Good Reading,
By
This review is from: Nobody's Perfect (Paperback)
Nobody's Perfect was a very inspirational book with a good moral, which is summed up in the title - Nobody's Perfect. Rachel was so set on her 12 point checklist that she couldn't see the forest for the trees. Everything that she was looking for in a man was right in front of her except for in the "looks" department. Neal was kind, generous, caring and better to her than she was to herself but he only met 11 points on her list. In Rachel's defense, when you grow up with someone who is like a brother to you, it's hard to see them as anything other than that. They were best friends basically all their lives and she figured that's what friends do; they help each other out. They were practically family. Then there was Ken. Mr. Gorgeous who had some hang-ups. He seemed like "Mr. Perfect" at first but as their relationship deepened, she saw some things that she didn't like which took him down a few notches but she still tried to hold on. As soon as Rachel realized that she wasn't perfect, it was easier for her to accept that nobody is. The story was very realistic portrayal of woman and her struggle with her spiritual side verses her secular side. The only character in the book that seemed unrealistic was Neal. He seemed a little TOO good to be true. I would recommend this book from the teen reader to the elderly. The fact that there was no profanity in the book made it that much more enjoyable.

Interesting,

This review is from: Nobody's Perfect (Paperback)
This was an overall entertaining story, but I'm thinking that I've probably overdosed on male/female relationship stories. Also, it was poorly edited and in many instances the writing was stilted, especially the tag lines following the dialogue (he curiously asked, etc.) This is usually a problem in a self-published book.

This book was excellent. I even think about it from time to time since I've read it. I could not put it down. I completed the entire book in 3 days. That may sound like a long time, but you don't know how busy my schedule has been, so that is a short amount of time considering. I have told several people about the book and am now trying to

An inspirational read,

I enjoyed this book. It started off a little slow, but soon I couldn't keep my hands off of it. The story doesn't preach to you, instead it gently offers a suggestion on how to find peace in your relationships. If you feel you are in the same situation, take a look at this book. I guarantee you wont' regret it.

Slow, but Spiritually Enlightening,
This review is from: Nobody's Perfect (Paperback)
Nobody's Perfect started off really slow. Initially I was bored, but the spiritual innuendos kept me reading. The last five chapters were the most interesting and exciting. So, if you can get past the initial slow story, you'll be pleased. I applaud Patricia for encouraging spiritual principles in this novel. I was impressed with the central character's willingness to flee temptation, free herself of past mistakes, and to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

ONE GREAT STORY!,
By
This review is from: Nobody's Perfect (Paperback)
This is a great book to read. The character's are very real, except for maybe Neal, he's one in a million and in a class by himself. I enjoyed the story and the author's writing style was very easy to follow. The book was filled with family ties, love, pain and definately growth! This is very good fiction for a first time author and I'd love to read her second novel.Anyone looking for a page turner? Pick this one up!

GOOD BOOK,

This review is from: Nobody's Perfect (Paperback)
I found this book to be one of today's better because the love is there and so real and yet the story is written in a very clean fashion . .The love is there and the cleanliness is as well...hats off to this author.Another great story that I know you will enjoy is Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fiher/ I would also hightly suggest that you read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. ..What a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. "Stolen Moments " which is reminiscent of "Love Story" is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. Like"Love Story" it is about a dying woman who has found true love. Again, for sure it is the love story of the nineties."

First of all, I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book I have read that didn't endulge in sex. As I was reading, I found out that in some instances I was going through the same thing as Rachel. I also learned that maybe it was time for me to build a better relationship with God. I think the book could have done away with the time gaps and could have been a little more detailed but it was a outstanding book. I hope to read more by this author.

It truly emphasized the fact that integrity, character and traditional values are always the best qualities when desiring a spouse. As a Christian, there will be NO COMPROMISE for me! I commend you Ms Haley-Brown and pray for your continued success. God bless!
