This is a great album by Raimundo Amador. Track #8 is my favorite, its a gitano buleria and its one of the best ive heard. This guy is an amazing guitarist, he plays it all. Flamenco and blues and jazz.

Raimundo Amador: Flamenco Revolutionary,

You may not understand Spanish, but if you love flamenco-blues (and if you don't think you'll like flamenco, throw away all your preconceived ideas about it; flamenco is universal). "Pa Mojar" is earthy, with a solid beat, and speaks of the simple pleasures of life, definitely gypsy: "Un puchero de habichuelas / y una pata de jamón / Una botella de vino / y la luna en el balcón". "Candela" and "Pata Palo"(with Kiko Veneno) both have some great guitar work, and the beat is contagious. "Blues De La Frontera" is a joy to listen to, with just a touch of flamenco in the riffs to remind you who's in charge.
"Camarón", done with Remedios Amaya and Raimundo's daughters, Carmen and Encarna is a heartfelt tribute to the late, great Camarón de la Isla(the Flamenco Legend, known, loved, and reverenced by every flamenco); beautiful. "Tio Diego" is a flamenco guitar instrumental that has now become a flamenco classic. "Pasa La Vida",with the marvellous Charo Manzano, is a jazzy, easy-going reflection on how life passes. Raimundo is joined by vocalist Juan Perro to do a memorable Spanish version of Robert Johnson's "Love In Vain". Then comes the big moment: "Bolleré"; Raimundo's joined halfway through the song by B.B. King. It is a pure joy to listen to, both because you get hear one of the best flamenco-blues singers sing with that inimitable gitano style, play some mean blues without even working up a sweat, just having fun, and to put the icing on the cake, B.B. King, who had such a great time with Raimundo, it seemed like he didn't want to stop hugging him afterwards! Things turn to a gypsy-rumba beat for "Gitano de Temporá", a reflection on those who are "part-time" gypsies, who only speak well of gypsies when it suits them, sung together with Rai's daughters. Then, surprise! Raimundo decides, out of the blue to regale us with his version of "Little Wing", which I'll wager you're going to enjoy. The last song was done in the studio with the great Antonio Carmona adding his seductive calé voice to Raimundo's masterful guitar work in a memorable flamenco duet. My only "complaint" is that it's a bit too short for my liking! Overall, I am convinced that this album establishes Raimundo Amador as a real Flamenco revolutionary, on this occasion, in Flamenco-Blues. I give it 5 stars, with no reservations whatsoever.
