Product Description

Following in the footsteps of the successful NF-P12, the NF-P14 is a highly optimised, premium quality 140mm fan with Vortex-Control Notches for superb quietness and outstanding aerodynamic efficiency. Metal reinforcements, SCD2 technology and Noctua's premium grade SSO-Bearing guarantee exceptional running smoothness and excellent long-term stability. Using the same hole-spacing as common 120mm fans and achieving a superior airflow/noise ratio, the NF-P14 is ideal for upgrading 120mm CPU or case fans.

It's slightly disappointing, but not enough to deduct a star.

The fan looks great, feels great (build quality) and for the most part runs great.
M. Thesing
The fan is really quiet and moves a ton of air though my case.

Be sure to use the included silicon fan mounts, since they will cut the noise more than the fan will. Also, the fan comes with some resistor extensions that you can use between the motherboard and the fan to cut the fan speed and noise. The low noise adapter (black) cuts the RPM down to 1,100 RPM, and the Ultra-low noise adapter (blue)cuts the RPM down to 900 RPM.

I found that the black low noise adapter was the one to use. The blue one provided too low of a voltage, and the fan sometimes would not start up on such a low voltage.

I purchased this product because I've used these fans in previous PC builds; great product. These fans are vary quiet, efficient and durable. I use them with my corsair H70 (water cool CPU unit) as well. My PC cases run much cooler at lower rpm's with 140mm fan's.

The fan looks great, feels great (build quality) and for the most part runs great. Can it get a little loud? Yes. Does it push a good amount of air at 100%? Yes. If you use the adapters or fan controller to get it completely silent, it doesn't push as much air.

If it was completely silent at 100% I would give it 5 stars. And I only have high standards because it demands a high price premium over other fans.

In the end, the quality of the build will probably cause it to outlast competitors.

I used this in my Lian Li as a intake fan replacing the stock Lian Li 140 mm unit. It is quieter and moves more air. Works well using the Lian Li speed controller set at low or medium.

Great fan, too bad it does not come in Black.

Also a PWM version would be great.

This is the best and quietest fan available today.

The primary reason I'm writing this is to help others who, like me, were confused by the multiple search results for this model number. In particular, there's another listing that's a little more expensive that looks like the exact same product and also has a number of sellers (many in common with this listing). I thought perhaps this listing was either mis-labeled or perhaps an OEM version.

Well, happily, I ordered the product in this listing and got a new, retail boxed NF-P14 FLX. My order was from Tyler Direct, but Fulfilled by Amazon, BTW.

As for the product itself, there are many reviews that cover it well. I will just add a few observations. First, having recently installed two other current-generation 1200 RPM Noctua fans, I was neither surprised nor disappointed by the performance of this one.

My second observation is that the fan includes rubberized mounts only as part of the extenders for installing in holes designed to accommodate standard 140 mm fans. If you mount this fan using screw holes spaced for 120 mm fans, and you can't or don't use their rubber mounting nubs, then the plastic frame of the fan will contact whatever you're mounting it against. In contrast, my other Noctua fans, which are both square-framed, have removable rubber pads integrated directly into the frame. This is an issue, for me, as I'm installing on a heatsink that uses special clips and cannot accept the rubber nubs. It's slightly disappointing, but not enough to deduct a star.

Finally, the direction of airflow is opposite that of all my other fans (Noctua included). It sends air towards the side with more dark brown plastic visible.

The fan may be 2x the cost of the cheaper ones, but dont be fooled, the bearings are rated for 3x the life (so cheaper over time right there) and these are silent and push a bunch of air. I got sick of fans starting to grind after less than a year of use, going forward I replace all my case fans with nocturnas for the bearing life span.

My motherboard fried out one night, and when I was in the process of searching for a new one, I decided to go all out and do a complete internal upgrade. I read such awesome reviews about Noctua, and there are four of these in my PC now. Two come with the new Noctua heatsink, and then I bought another two for the case.

These fans are so freaking quiet, they amaze me with their silence. My case is somewhat well-ventilated, but with the Noctuas installed, my CPU temps are kept lower than ever before. Amazon really has these priced so reasonably, which is always an added bonus.

If you need to change your fans, seriously consider any of the ones Noctua makes. Top notch all the way.

I have to say I'm a big "Fan" of Noctua Computer case Fan's In my time of building computers I have purchased 12 of them for 3 different rigs. I can't stand the sound of a loud computer. These are the best and I love the fact they are brown. Only grip I would say is that you need an adapter to use it on a 140mm slot on the case as currently its made for 120mm, which is odd. Highly recommend these even though they are expensive.
