With humour and sypmathetic characters, this book helped my son feel it is okay to be scared sometimes- and that it is okay to find a solution to that fear. It takes a different direction than most children's books we are used to and that's just what we liked about it. The main character, Noel, is scared of bullies and instead of deciding it's okay to be scared or trying to make friends with the bullies, he learns how to fight back. But when finally confronted by the bullies, he doesn't even fight. He uses self defense to protect himself without hurting anyone else. And because he now knows he is able to fight, he is confident and the bullies leave him alone. The book is spirited, funny and helpful to anyone dealing with bullies or any type of fear. My 6 year-old got it out from the library, made me read it over and over again and told me I have to buy it, so he can read it some more.

Ok, we aren't even sure if this is a kid book, we were reading it to our daughter and it's just weird..... First of all the characters are just strange and everything seems a little odd. The defense school seems a little violent...
