A rare treasure!,
By
This review is from: Noggin in the Nog (The Sagas of Noggin the Nog) (Paperback)
My son was fortunate enough to recieve these books as a gift when he was two. He is now seven and still reads them on occasion. These hardback books are sturdy and have taken five years of use by a small child very well. The pages are all intact and the binding is still strong. The illustrations are charming, and the details on the cover are beautiful.
The stories are fun and full of danger and adventure without being too scary or dark for a kid. Dragons, treasures, inventors, kings, a talking bird and little people who live underground are so delightfully written that it was as much of a joy to read them to my son as it was for him to be read to. These books have spawned many hours of creative play over the last five years. If you can get a hold of these, please do.

There are 12 volumes in the delightful kids' series "Noggin the Nog." The complete boxed set of them -- all hardback -- is available at Amazon's UK site, but not, apparently, from their US site. The ISBN for the complete set of 12 volumes is 1 903 708 00 1. The ISBN for the first volume only ("Noggin King of the Nogs") is 1 903708 01 X.
