This is a beautifully rich album, very organic in nature but decidely modern. It sound like Chris loops phrases and plays over them which creates a very hypnotizing affect. Tracks like "Desert Star" made my hair stand on end. All the tracks are instrumental and could be the soundtrack to a foreign film. The mood goes from dark and eerie to penchant and ambient. Fans of Lisa Gerard and Dead Can Dance as well as Brian Eno and Peter Gabriel should really enjoy this album. Fans of Violin music in general should give it a spin.
