This record bristles with frantic energy and blistering tones. Producer/artist extraordinaire SpankRock lends his rapping/vocals to the slickest album track, "Kick Drum". Impressed with their unique sound, fashion maven Stella McCartney requested the band to be the performers for her segment in the Fashion Rocks TV special that was broadcast throughout Europe to over 60 million viewers. This was a totally unexpected find for me. I too went to the Faint last time around and Shy Child opened for them (as did Glass Candy). But while watching Shy Child I couldn't help but feel like it was familiar to me. Then later while going through my records and such and looking around on the internet I figured it out.... SUPERSYSTEM. If you like(d) Supersystem then Shy Child should have stuck out to you. BOTH AMAZING!

Get this album. And check out Supersystem while your at it!

We went to go see The Faint in concert and got there a bit early. I usually listen to the opening bands in the background while waiting, but Shy Child caught my attention right away.

I enjoyed their show from beginning to end, instantly becoming a fan. I bought this CD at the show despite being worried that it won't be as good as it is live, but I was wrong. This CD is fantastic, and I still listen to it all the time.
