This review is from: Noises at Night (Hardcover)
For any kid who is nervous about strange noises when going to bed, this book is a must. It takes all the fear out of the creaks that every kid hears when she lies down to go to sleep. The story is lyrical, fun to read and very creative. My girls both love it and they've now created their own game where they hear a noise and try to imagine what it could be. This makes a wonderful gift too!

Children and parents alike can relate to the problem of alarming night-time noises. But the little boy protagonist of this book hears noises and turns them into the sounds of wonderful adventure. With its imaginative premise, vivid imagery, clever rhyme, and wonderful illustration, this book is sure to please young children--and to give them pleasant things to think about while going to sleep.

We first found this book at the library and both my daughter (4 yrs.) and son (1.5 yrs.) really enjoyed it! The author is imaginative and clever in explaining the various noises at night using themes that are appealing and appropriate for children. This book has been an absolute winner with my family.
