This cd is crazy! It's absolutely the best buy i've made in a long time. Not only does it have slow romantic instrumentals, but it's got lively uptempo music. I am not an artsy kinda gal, and when I got this cd in my stocking... i was hesitant... but let me tell you... it really gets you up and moving, or relaxes you, and helps you sit down for a good book. It's great background music, and just so sharp, crisp, and really elegant sounding. I could go on for days, but nothing I can say does this music justice. The musicians are really talented, and it would be amazing to meet them. I read they are from the bay area... local!! Any age, any music fan would really benefit from getting a cd like this!

Noites nas Sete Colinas is a remarkable exploration of the Fado tradition, polished by truly virtuoso playing. The exercises by three truly gifted musicians is not only enlightening, it sounds good. This collection not only has the tradition, it exudes the saudade which is so hard to describe but you know it when you hear it.

In essence, the whole CD is a delight. I can't really pin down or say there is one piece of music which tweaks me more than any other. They are all great to listen to and even here, in the midst of a blizzard, this is good music which makes me wish for a misty night in Lisbon in a Fado club with some great musicians. Ah well ... at least I've added this to my growing collection of this amazing form of traditional music.
