I bought this phone to replace the second Nokia 6085 that I had had. I didn't want another 6085 because they're so fragile. My first one worked great for two years until I dropped it, which broke the camera, made the external display unusable, and reduced the charging capacity to about 12 hours. My second 6085 was fine too until I dropped it also. In contrast, I had a Motorola V400 for about four years and dropped it several times, but it never seemed to affect that phone. All these phones have been used with AT&T's network.

The 2720 is stylish, light, has a good main display and a good external display, and produces good call quality. The battery lasts a long time; I'm presently going on three days since the last charge, and the phone is still showing a full charge. I like being able to see the big external clock display by touching the volume key. In addition to the clock, the external display shows caller ID and an envelope to indicate a waiting message. Volume adjustments are also indicated on the external display.

The camera in this phone is better than the ones I had in the 6085 and the Motorola V400. Resolution is higher, producing pictures that are better suited to use as display "wallpaper." Bluetooth works fine too, enabling me to transfer files back and forth with our Macs with ease, which means mainly pictures.

On the downside, the 2720 isn't as easy to access email on as the 6085 was. One button touch on the 6085 took me to email. On the 2720, I have to get there via Mobile Web, which requires several clicks before I can get to Yahoo Mail. Once there the email display is rather klutzy, whereas the 6085 email interface resembled a computer's mail display.

Sound quality is also a bit weak. At full volume, the sound is adequate, but usually not really loud. Whereas on the 6085 the T-coil (hearing aid) setting produced a big volume increase, the 2720 T-coil setting doesn't seem to do anything. I wouldn't recommend this phone to folks with severe or worse hearing loss. The speakerphone feature is weak too, with lower than needed volume.

I got this phone to travel abroad and avoid paying international roaming and such. It worked wonderfully with the local network, the battery life is also good. It is small, and the phone is aesthetically extremely appealing, but please keep in mind it is a simple, nifty little old school phone. The camera itself isn't great -but it is decent- and the fact that the phone has Bluetooth (not all phones in this price range do) makes sending the pictures to my computer a breeze. It also has customizable font size (for those who are short sighted and prefer a slightly larger font type). The only thing that kinda bugs me about the phone is that I have dropped it once or twice and every time (even if it's just me being clumsy and dropping it form 2-3 feet in the air) the back just bursts open, the battery falls out and I have to reset the time and date. I think the issue is that the back cover slips up and when the phone collides against the floor it just pops open and since the battery isn't tightly death-gripped like other phones I've had, it just falls out. It hasn't happened with me just holing the phone though, so if you don't drop it (which we all try to avoid anyways) it won't happen. I was just surprised because I hadn't had to go looking for the back cover and the battery on the floor when other phones fell to the ground in the past.

Pros:
Convenient.
Small.
Great features for price range (1.3 MP camera, bluetooth).
Looks nice.
Good battery life.

Cons:
Back cover not tight enough, battery falls out if the phone falls.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this phone to anyone in need of a simple phone to carry everywhere.

This phone is the true basic flip phone. It has everything you'd expect without any fancy features. Call quality is good. Solid phone.

I have to say the purchase is worthwhile due to the phone's good quality. It looks nice and the signal is good. but the screen is pixelized and it is a bit slow.

My wife needed a non-smart phone and there are very few choices these days. This model is probably not the best choice. It works though. Just don't drop it or be mean to it - it will pop into many pieces.

The phone does not work in Costa Rican network.
If you are looking for something cheap and simple, this might be a good choice.
