Design
The 6015i follows the tried and true Nokia candybar style with an extendable antenna mated to a dedicated internal antenna. The phone includes a 2.5mm headset jack, a USB data port, and a standard Nokia charging connector. The 96 x 65 color display boasts 4096 colors. Detachable faceplates are available for the front and rear of the handset so you can dress up your phone to suit your mood.

Calling Features
The 6015i's built-in address book can store up to 250 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers. Choose from 30 built-in ringers, including MIDI ring tones with up to 16-chord polyphonic sound, as well as a vibrating alert. Voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates as easy as saying their names. You can also speak up to 25 numbers with the sound of your voice. The 6015i's GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911. Perhaps most importantly for users in rural areas, the 6015i is a tri-mode phone, meaning it can operate on Verizon's digital network, as well as analog networks that serve many outlying areas.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
If you need basic messaging capabilities, the 6015i has you covered as support is built-in for sending and receiving SMS text messages (Verizon Wireless text messaging charges apply). T9 text entry, a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built-into the unit-- a plus for text messaging users.

A number of handy software tools are bundled with the 6015i including a calendar, a calculator, a voice recorder with 30 seconds of recording memory, an alarm clock, and a to-do list. The 6015i lets you carry these tools wherever you go so you can create appointments and view your schedule at a moment's notice.

Entertainment
The 6015i is Java enabled, meaning it supports games written on the Java platform. The phone also features customizable colors and screen backgrounds so you can make your phone reflect your personality.

The Nokia 6015i weighs 3.87 ounces and measures 4.26 x 1.97 x 0.91 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3.5 hours of digital talk time, and up to 192 hours of digital standby time. If you want a basic phone with good reception and battery life, and are not interested in cameras or MP3 capabilities (and other features), this phone could be a good choice for you.

The one "feature" this model does have is the speakerphone, which works very well IMO. And with amazon.com's rebate and 1-year (instead of 2-year) contract, it's a very good deal indeed.

The only drawback is that the rebate takes about 4 months to receive (you have to wait two billing cycles, then amazon takes about 8 weeks on top of that to process it). If you're patient though, it's hard to find a better deal than this.

But if you want a phone that will "impress your friends" you may have to look elsewhere. This is a very basic piece.

I upgraded from an AT&T Nokia (2years old) to the Verizon Nokia 6015i. The difference is amazing. I'm not sure whether it is Verizon or the 6015i or both, but service is clear in places I had no service before - including in my apartment house. On a car trip to very southern Maryland I had excellent service in some very rural areas. No static or breaking up or dropped calls. Works well in the METRO tunnels

I AM VERY, VERY HAPPY!!

PROs:

o Clear Reception with excellent voice quality
o Speaker Phone works very well
o Voice Dialing worked first time for all entries
o Light weight
o Contact lists easy to manage and use
o Good display visibility
o Works well with hands free devices
o Tri-mode
o Good battery life
o Good ring and vibrate options
o Cheap

CONs:

o If you are looking for games, calendars, fancy tones, pictures, MP3, etc., etc. - this is NOT your phone.
o Not as compact or as light weight as most clam shell phones

My choice was somewhat driven by the fact I already had Nokia wall warts in four homes spread across the country and cigarette chargers in four cars, also spread across the county - using those on the new phone saved a pocket full of money - BUT, I am happy with the quality of the phone when it is doing phone things!!

Coming from ATTWS, let me tell you one thing first - Verizon means quality. Coming to the phone, it has everything that I wanted in a cell phone
- Speakerphone quality is very good
- Phone charge stays for 3 full days (I am not a heavy users)
- Good call quality even with 2 bars. I think this varies from phone to phone.
- Size that very well fit in shirt pocket

Not so good things:
- Phone does not come with any headset. Many phones come with that.
- IR port would be a very nice feature
