Pass on this, get a different Qi charger, this garbage sucks.

Out of the five phones I have and use regularly, I find my Nokia 920 with the wireless charging pillow to be my go to device now - even over my beloved 808 PureView.

Other phones like the Samsung Galaxy S4 have wireless charging systems.

This charging pillow is less a pillow and more of a sleeve for the standard Nokia wireless charging pad. It has a decent footprint on a desk or table surface - about twice the size of the charger alone. And it still has a fairly substantial DC cube that must remain plugged in to achieve your fancy wireless charge. The benefit I see to having this pillow is you don't risk scratching your device when you place it on the charger without a cover on it. Aside from that, you've basically got a backup charging plate (if your Nokia 920 didn't come with one) with a puffy sleeve on it.

Size and practicality aside, the wireless charging is quite awesome. Gone are the days of fussing with your silly iPhone and the dock connector (no matter how many times they changed it over the years). You simply place your phone on the pillow and let Nokia handle the charging. I personally look forward to the day when they can write the wireless syncing process into this charger so I can get rid of my rats nest of USB cables.

The pillow itself has little guide marks to help you place your phone directly over the charging pad, but they aren't really necessary. Place your sizable Nokia 920 on the pillow and you're hard pressed to miss the mark.

I can't attest to the speed of the charging process - as the battery on my 920 is a champ and doesn't seem to ever die since it is so easy to top it up whenever I set it down on the pillow. Out of the five phones I have and use regularly, I find my Nokia 920 with the wireless charging pillow to be my go to device now - even over my beloved 808 PureView. Unfortunately for the other devices, having battery life trumps all else when it comes down to it. This nifty device, the Fatboy charging pillow, helps my 920 stay fully juiced up all the time, without cables to fuss with.

I ordered this for my Nokia Lumia 920, at first I was considering getting the normal charging plate, but decided to put up a bit more money and get the fatboy casing around it as well, and I'm glad I did. The actual product it's simply a Nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate with a fatboy beanbag sleeve around it, for added looks and style.

The fatboy sleeve s just a simple "bag" with beans around the margins to give it a bit of a plushy effect, which lets you slide the wireless charging plate right in. The material is some sort of nylon/cloth which is light and pretty stain resistant, and very easy to clean (just add some water and dab it!); however the sleeve does add a lot of bulk and size to the charging plate which is actually quite small and thin.

The Charging plate itself is pretty awesome, and gets the job done; it simply charges your phone up without having to plug in any cables, at first this might seem like a gimmick but it does quickly become part of your routine life style and you start to realize how helpful it is. For example when I get a message in the middle of the night I can grab the phone without worrying about tugging the charger out of the phone (and damaging the Micro USB port) or dislodging it from the power outlet and having to replug it in the middle of the night; you simply grab the phone, silently curse it for waking you up in the middle of the night and throw it back on to the pillow.

The charging plate doesn't seem to take much longer to charge up my Lumia 920 then it does through the Micro USB charger, and in fact if you connect the phone to the plug then put it on the fatboy pillow it will charge wirelessly rather than through the micro USB port.

It's not hard to use the micro USB cable to charge my Nexus 7 2013 tablet, but the Fatboy really simplifies things. As long as the center of my Nexus is placed over the "sweet spot" in the center of the Fatboy (more about that below) it will start charging--doesn't matter whether the Nexus is diagonal, vertical or horizontal. That's really convenient.

Before I purchased the Fatboy, I wouldn't keep plugging the tablet into a micro USB cable between uses. But now I just put it on the Fatboy and it starts charging. Here is a more detailed explanation of how this works and why I like it.

1. This consists of a Nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate - Retail Packaging - Black that is enclosed in a 5"x7" nylon sleeve with padding around the edges, which serves to keep the charging plate from slipping around. "Pillow" is kind of a misnomer because there is no padding in the center where the charging plate is located.

Why not just buy just a charging plate alone for $10 less? Because the "pillow" eliminates any concerns about my scratching the back of the Nexus that I would have if I took it on and off the charging plate directly. If that doesn't concern you, then you might want to consider just getting a charging plate.

Of course if at any time you decide not to use the "pillow", you can just take the charging plate out and use it directly without anything on it.

Note: The charging plate has a white indicator light to show that charging is in progress. But you can't see that light when the charging plate is in the "pillow.
