I purchased this headset to complement my Nokia 6230 mobile phone. It is necessary that you have this (or a previous version of the headset) to enable the FM radio feature of the 6230. It features the wide Nokia connector needed to connect to the phone (there is no mini or submini style plug on the 6230).

The headset features a snap to allow you to "wear" the headset around your neck. You can dangle the earpieces when not in use and have ready access to them when needed.

The headset is dual function - it works both for listening to FM radio and MP3 music on the phone (who needs an iPod Shuffle?) as well as for telephone conversations. The microphone works quite well in standard and mobile environments. There is a pushbutton on the cord that can switch radio presets, switch the MP3 player to the next song, or allows you to hang up a call - depending on what mode you are operating the phone in.

The white color is somewhat similar to Apple's iPod headphones. The earpieces give good sound reproduction with more than adequate volume. They are a bit large, and aren't comfortable for long term wearing unless you are using the supplied foam earpads, which are black in color and may not last indefinitely or be easily lost. Nokia offers a "Sport" version of the headset that would be a better fit for joggers.

The cord used is of good quality and has a coating that seems to resist tight knotting - a definite bonus.

All in all - it is not the most comfortable to wear, but it definitely gets the job done and is quite durable.

I love the design idea on this headset. You can wear it around your neck and have the earpieces at hand all the time. The problem is the earpieces themselves are the worst I've used. They are completely uncomfortable and keep falling out, and it's not just due to the cord being too thick. In terms of quality it's a great headset though, but it was basically a waste of money for me since it bothers me so much. If this headset was designed with custom fit eargels like the Jabra headsets, it would be excellent.

I am so disappointed with this product. The earphones are large and uncomfortable. The wires are heavy and bend oddly because they have protective hard cloth around them, presumably to make them more durable. And when I speak with someone I sound like I am far away, which makes sense because the receiver falls down by your belly button. I will never use this headset. It was a waste of $12.
