I just got it today
The best thing about this is that it got here in a decent amount of time[shipped tuesday-recieved friday]
It looks nice but when u touch it you find it feels like you sent in box tops and got a prize.
The sound quality is mediocre. If your looking for just somethin to get you by this is it.
It has no volume adjust button but the silver disk on the clip serves are your answer key when u get a call and also the forward button on the music player. you can hear calls well though.
Other thing I dont like is that the first part the wire is probably 2ft long, then the second part's wire is about 2 feet, so its like 4 ft of unecessary cord.
Basically, its just ok..

The "3.5mm Stereo Audio Adapter" I received from seller SF Planet, labeled "A1501 3.5mm Adapter MIC", connects regular stereo earphones to my Nokia 6085 phone but the music is in mono, not stereo.
Sound does come out of both earphones but it's not stereo... Not worth returning, sigh :(
(The only reason I considered using wired earphones instead of Bluetooth wireless earphones is so the phone's FM radio would work)

I purchased this as a replacement for the wired earbuds/microphone that came with my Nokia 6133. And as a replacement, it doesn't quite do the job. When compared to the original headset:
* There is no volume control on the cable, as there is on the Nokia headset. This means you have to use the volume controls on the phone. On my phone, this forces me to either turn off the automatic keylock, or unlock it every time I want to change the volume. It does still have the command button on the cord, however.
* The earbuds don't come with any foam covers, are very large, and an awkward shape, so they don't stay in my ears well at all.
* The microphone doesn't seem to be as good - the voice dial feature on my phone isn't recognizing my commands as well as with the original microphone.
* It is much flimsier - after a few days of light use, the cable sheathing broke away where it connects to the plug, and now it's connected only by the thin inner wires themselves. You could swing the phone around with the original Nokia headset, and not have any problems like this.
It does have a few of advantages over the Nokia headset, though:
* Because it's an adapter for any headphones with a standard 3.5mm jack, you can use your own favorite headphones/earbuds, instead of the supplied buds or the ones permanently connected to the Nokia headset. Or even use it to connect the phone to a stereo or external speakers for playback.
* To help keep it from being pulled out of your ears, it has a clip instead of a necklace, so there's less tangling.
* Much less expensive than the Nokia headset.

This product came to me in a timely manner and worked very well. More stations came in on my phone then my car radio. I recommend this product for everybody who has a Nokia 6085, and the price was amazing.

Just in case anything changes on this page in the future, here is a little disclaimer: I am rating the product that I received after ordering it from the page titled "Nokia Retail Package HS-23 Stereo Headset".
I received "Plastic Bag Package Garbage Knock-off Headset" instead of "Nokia Retail Package HS-23 Stereo Headset".
1. It was advertised as "In brand new original Sealed Nokia Package", but came in an unsealed plastic bag.
2. Description says "Convenient volume control", but the volume control button does not operate as it is nothing more than a piece of plastic added to make this knock off headset look more like the original. Could as well be painted on...
3. Overall low quality feel.
UPDATE 9/22/08: Seller BargainCell issued a refund.

The Adapter is worth the price,, but the headphones are like the ones you get free when you get a free radio at a carnival. They (the headphones)however are stereo, but sound tinny with no bass, but do actually get you by, but you get the must have nokia adapter, when you plug your own premium headphones in sound excellent. The adapter is hard to put in and take out, but thats nokia's fault, dont ever buy a nokia phone untill they change the adapter to the standard the rest of the world observes, going to write nokia now and give them my regards.
got the product real quick, the three stars are for the nokia adapter and the fast response time, the headphones are no stars.

Besides freeing your hands when using the loudspeaker would be impossible or embarrassing, this headset is also the only way you can use the radio and music player functions of the cell phone. Very well designed and built, it includes a volume key in the microphone piece. Fitting the foam protectors on the earbuds is a bit tricky, so go gently not to rip them. In all, a big convenience for almost no price.

This headset does a decent job of handling cellular telephone calls, but I don't use it for that very much. Instead, I use it to listen to the radio on my phone while I run. After seven or eight months, I typically lose sound in one of the earbuds - and it's easy to jerk the headset's plug out of the socket on the phone itself, too easy. Nokia should use a stronger plug and better wiring.

This was the wrong headset, as i thought it would be. The ear pieces are too big. and there is no volume control on the headset like the original headset that I asked for.
