Shaky,
This review is from: Nokia HS-3BK Fashion Stereo Headset - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I actually bought the HS-3WH, which is the same thing but white. The cord is thick and it looks awkward because it doesn't run smoothly down your shirt, it goes down in a zigzag pattern (like a wrinkly headset). Also the earbuds are a little larger than most and it is hard to get them to fit correctly in your ears. Mine have fallen out many times. The only thing from saving the buds from falling to the ground is the neck strap.
I have owned mine for over a month now and have been having some problems. At first one of the channels was going out on the left headphone and eventually I lost the entire left side. The microphone has also gone out on it too and I know this because the people on the 'other end' cannot hear me. The concept is really good, they just need to work on the design.

Good quality but awful design,

As if this thing was not designed for consumer but submarines in 1950s, it will probably last worst usage but uncomfortable.
The cord is a very thick protective metal like a coil. Earpieces also sound good and feels durable. But sturdy cord design makes is uncomfortable. Stiffness of the cord makes earpieces move in your ear if you move the phone. Earpieces are largest I have seen so far. They are not comfortable.

The worst headphones I have ever put in my ears,

I waited a while before writing this review to make sure I was not acting
rashly. I've had these headphones for about a month now, to use with my Nokia E61, which has a very nice music player. They are without a doubt the worst headphones of any kind that I have ever tried to use. As the other reviews say, the earbuds are strangely large. They are so large that they will not stay in my ears. I am confident that they would not even stay in the ears of George "The Animal" Steel, even with all the hair in there to provide extra grip. They barely stay in when I'm standing still. If I do anything radical like nod, yawn, swallow, or turn my head 45 degrees, they are almost guaranteed to fall out. If they don't quite fall out, they nonetheless require readjustment. I am a 6' 2" (maybe 3") guy and do not have dainty ears as much as I might like to. I've never had this problem with any kind of ear device before, ever. The stiff cord does not help this situation. The cord is extremely heavy and thick. It's also totally bizarre looking, which is mighty strange for something labeled a "fashion" headset. It's possible that it might be fashionable 20,000 leagues under the sea, accessorized with a fishbowl for your head. I was willing to give the cord texture a chance, because its stiffness helps it not get tangled if you have a tendency to shove them in a bag or pocket without coiling them. However, it turns out to be totally annoying. You're guaranteed to flinch whenever its snaky scaliness touches your skin. It's rigidity means it's hard to hide the cord. It will always be sticking out in a loop away from your neck or waist somewhere. This is not only unattractive, it makes it kind of dangerous for getting caught on doorknobs and unsuspecting small children when you are walking around. They sound terrible. There is crackling and a general lack of body to the sound. I'm not an audiophile but I know enough to know that I've heard better sound come out of the free headphones you get on airplanes. It's not my phone. I get a better sound from the phone's loudspeaker, but unfortunately people give me funny looks on the train when I turn that on. I could, however, put up with the sound quality if the other shortcomings did not traumatize me so. I have never even tried to use the microphone. I also don't understand how you are supposed to use it. On me (height previously mentioned), the microphone hangs at around my sternum. I don't think they can hear me down there, and I don't see any way to adjust where the microphone is on the cord. This means that in order to talk, you will have to hold the microphone up to your mouth. This moving of the cord will cause both headphones to fall out. Rinse and repeat. I don't know what I'm going to do now. There are not many options available for the Nokia pop port in the way of stereo headphones that have a phone mic. I guess I'll try the over-the-ears ones next. I'm a fan of Nokia products in general but this is inexcusable.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

sounds OK, awkwardly designed, no voume control, no remote control, just answers and hangs up calls. stupidly produced primary for the phone function rather than media player. Nokia needs to learn a lot from headset manufacturers how to design a headset. what's more, it's costly like jewel.

Excellent,

The headsets are very good, present/display great durability in spite of the daily and excessive use that I give him, in addition that to have an attractive and elegant color.

worst headset ever,

The buds barely fit in your ears and when you get them in there it feels like they are stretching them out. Feel very light and cheap. One of the earbuds started going out on the 2nd day I had them. If you buy these, don't pay more than a few bucks because they really aren't even worth that.

The first time I used this earpiece with my cell phone I loved it very much until I tried to adjust the mouth piece so the person I'm talking to can here me. It would have been nice if it would have came with instructions on how to adjust the mouth piece, but overall I love this earpiece. This is the best earpiece I had so far. I would recommend this earpiece to anyone with a cell phone that can use the earpiece with there phone.

funky design with no instructions,

Took me forever to realize the clasp is used to fasten the headphones around the back of the neck. Would've been nice if this shipped with *some* manual to show you how to put them on and adjust them.
Do this, and you won't have a problem with the mic being too low -- it can be raised and lowered pretty easily and securely. Plus you can take the earbuds out and let them dangle since they will be looped around your neck. Now if only I could get the earbuds IN. The previous reviewer is right: I'm not sure these were designed for human ears. |
