Verizon Wireless Service
With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, you'll enjoy fast access to the Internet and Verizon Wireless multimedia services (additional charges applicable), with average download speeds ranging from 400 to 700 Kbps and peak rates up to 2 Mbps. The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time.

In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with the Verizon Wireless V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. In addition, customers who purchase music over-the-air are able to download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.

With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access the Verizon Wireless VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps. And the Chaperone service lets you easily locate your loved ones from your Verizon Wireless phone or PC in real time. After defining a zone, such as an area designating a school or summer camp, you'll be sent an alert via text message when the Chaperone handset enters or leaves the zone.

The Intrigue also features Bluetooth stereo music streaming, MicroSD expansion to 8 GB, and a 2-megapixel camera with flash.

Getting on the Internet is easy using the Verizon Wireless Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. The Verizon Wireless Media Center wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Media Center service.

Phone Features
The Nokia 7205 Intrigue's unique external display blends into its smooth black exterior. When an incoming call or text is received, the display instantly illuminates, and you can also view incoming text messages, play music from the phone's digital audio player, and snooze the alarm clock--all from the external display.

The large, bright internal 2.2-inch display has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and support for 262K colors. It also includes a nature-inspired design setting called Habitat mode, exclusively designed by Nokia and only available with Verizon Wireless service. When the Habitat mode is activated, contacts are presented in chronological order, providing an engaging and intuitive way for customers to track, visualize and connect with their contacts. You can also customize each contact with a photo or icon.

The phone can store up to 500 contacts in the internal phonebook, and each entry can store multiple phone numbers. It also supports caller groups as well as pairing numbers with a photo or a specific ringtone. The phone has an internal 150 MB memory, which can be expanded via optional MicroSD memory cards (up to 8 GB in size). Other phone features include speaker-independent voice commands, a bilingual interface (in English and Spanish), and 25 built-in ringtones.

Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone (with dedicated key). This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and file transfer. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server (additional charges or subscription applicable).

The 2-megapixel camera offers five resolution options (1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 160 x 120 pixels) and features an integrated flash and 4x digital zoom. Other features include a dedicated camera/video key, portrait/landscape capture mode, self timer, and white balance settings (auto, sunny, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, and darkness). Additionally, the camera can capture video clips with audio.

The digital audio player offers compatibility for MP3, WMA and unprotected AAC/AAC+ formats, and the phone includes external touch-senstive music controls on the top of the clamshell face. You can create and manage playlists right on the phone and the library can be organized by artist, genre and album. This phone also has a music-only mode (or flight mode) where the cellular radio is turned off, enabling you to still play music.

You'll be able to keep up with your personal email with built-in connections to MSN Hotmail, AOL, and Yahoo! accounts. In addition to SMS text and MMS multimedia messaging, you can also access popular instant messaging (IM) services (AIM, MSN, Yahoo!). T9 predictive text entry technology makes it easier for entering text while composing email and text messages.

This a really nice phone. I got the green one. You can get it in all sorts of colors. The best thing is that the keyboard slides out, so you don't have to worry about calling someone on accident. The features are great. MP3s and games are all available. The phone charges fast and is really light. Great quality at a great price.

I purchased this phone for my wife, and it works well as a telephone. It is supposed to be an MP3 player and have other computer like functionality, but I have been unable to get it to work with the computer. The Samsung help line said that it was the cable that I purchased from AT&T. Samsung helper provided a part number that is no longer listed on their website, so I searched the web. The after market cable I ordered still does not work. Samsung has not replied to any of my inquiries. If I had to do it again, I would not purchase another Samsung cell phone.

I went through 3 of these phones, all defective. It has the most software issues of any phone I've ever used. Messages popping up that wouldn't go away, not saving sound settings, randomly saving things to the SIM card, not saving info to the SIM card that should be saved, not READING the SIM card period. Texting is slow, the phone can't keep up with you and often skips letters or has glitches. It also does not have a very usable workflow to send messages. I can't save the notification settings, so I miss messages (no matter what you do, and even if you test it with their test feature, the sound settings won't change to a louder level). The only positives for this phone is that call quality seems very good, and it seems like a sturdy phone. That is why I gave it two stars instead of one.

All in all, this has been a terrible experience. My brother has a similar model and is on his third phone. I would not recommend this brand or their line of slider phones. Perhaps their other phones are better but who knows. I will never buy another Samsung.
