The LD-1W module, which connects wirelessly to your phone, PC or PDA receives data from up to 12 GPS satellites that pinpoint your exact location. Now, when you're trying to make that appointment in an unfamiliar part of town, or if you are enjoying the great outdoors and need to find your way, you can just fire up the module and get detailed directions and display a map on your mobile phone's color screen. Some compatible applications will even indicate the best route or point out restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and more. The unit is fully compatible with GPS mapping and guidance software for mobile devices, such as Wayfinder Navigator and Route 66. The LD-1W also ships with a free three-month trial for the Wayfinder travel planning tool.

Because the LD-1W uses wireless Bluetooth technology your phone, PDA or PC can be up to 30 feet away from the module. Place the module in a spot with a clear line of sight to the sky and navigate with ease on your mobile device. The unit's LEDs indicate power, the status of Bluetooth wireless connection, and GPS status. Plus, there's an external antenna port for enhancing the reception of the LD-1W's built-in receiver. The LD-1W also uses a Nokia battery that's rechargeable with standard Nokia chargers. You'll get a total operation time of up to 18 hours, continuous tracking time of up to 10 hours, and up to seven days of standby time on a single charge.
