Don't go with this seller! They claim that the phone is factory unlocked, but in fact it's locked for at&t! And when I tried to contact them about the issue, they told me it's possible to return the device! But guess what, there were too many fees for restocking the device! So they'll cut the price and I'm going to lose my money for nothing! That's really a shame! Simply AVOID AVOID AVOID them! @cellphone lifestyle

Last February I bought this mobile and I was immediately impressed both by its size, but especially by the quality both hardware and software. It has 32 GB of expandable memory up to 128GB (although nokia recommended max. 64GB ) , 2GB of RAM, but above all the fantastic camera of 20 megapixel Zeiss pure view that really takes incredible beautiful pictures. I tried in all kind of light conditions and I must say that the photos are absolutely sharp, bright and with beautiful vivid colors . Above all, I was amazed by pictures taken with flash in low light , the autofocus does a wonderful job and the pictures are without any noise. Another highlight is the battery, even with tough days made of whatsapp , sms , wifi , calls, continuous listening to the nokia mix radio and a few games (fifa 14 the most used), the phone still comes to evening with 30-35% . With a quieter but use with wifi always on I arrived at 3 days almost 4. For those who are afraid of its size or weight , I can tell that the phone is so well balanced that seems less heavy than many phones that weigh a 30 gr. less . Finally I have to say that surfing internet or watch a video on you tube is absolutely a unique experience than what they offer mobile phones with smaller screen. When you have tried it you will see other phones like something very small and uncomfortable . In the last days I've updated the mobile to windows phone 8.1 and I have to say that the software has reached a great maturity and those who still complain than Android or IOS are still the, maybe they should try a go with windowphone software. Good ? No! Highly recommended .

I got to play with a Nokia Lumia 1520 over past few days and it has blown me away. I have used so many phones/OS that I am fascinated by the diversity of ecosystem. I have used HTC Titan, some previous Lumia series and past Windows Mobile series. After dabbling with iOS, webOS, WM, I have settled on a Android as a primary phone. Nokia Lumia series is elegantly designed. The 1520 is just gorgeous.

I am interested in the specs of Lumia from following parameters. phone: size, weight, resolution, ppi, RAM, ext Storage, camera, CPU, USA SAR rating

Nokia Lumia 1520: 6.41 x 3.36 x 0.34 in, 209gm, 1080 x 1920 pixels, 6.0 in, 367 ppi, 2 GB RAM, microSD up to 64 GB, 20 MP/1.2MP, Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 CPU Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400, SAR: 0.59 W/kg (head), 0.24 W/kg (body)

In my opinion, following are key specs to consider. Most of others are standard or does not matter at all. First size, weight and resolution are part of look and feel. RAM/CPU part of performance. external Storage is part of expandability. Camera is obvious! SAR (Specific Absorption Rating) is an often ignored, but I feel essential to making a buying choice. Manufacturers don’t advertize or mention SAR prominently.

The things that pop out is the screen size and the external storage capability. Obviously weight is a downside. The windows phone 8 operating system has matured to a large extent and most of common apps are available. It does still lag its distant cousins iOS and Android. But Nokia has given a splendid hardware. My experience of using camera (one of the best cameras in the smartphone and a key differentiator), navigation, reading articles, books, listening to music, watching videos were flawless. I highly recommend to anyone interested in windows platform.

I've had a Lumia 920 that for me is still a really good phone.
But when I compare my 920 with the new 1520 the difference is gigantic in many ways.

First of all, the size. It's a big phone, but in my opinion is not an enormous.
The size helps a lot when you are typing, by the way it has the best keyboard I've ever used.

The other thing that jumps to your when you first use it is the quality of the screen. The colors are so vivid that is hard to go back to my 920 after using the 1520.

It also has a really fast CPU (the Snapdragon 800) that makes the navigation so smooth.
The battery is also impressive, I can use it for at least a day and half without having to charge ir.

And finally, the camera. Although it has not the 1020 41mp camera, this 20mp camera still beats all other cell phone cameras in the market.

After using the 1520 with the upgraded WP8, I found myself looking at Android phones and Iphones, and thinking they all look the same crap compared to the Lumia.

I was a long time iPhone "power user" and I was ready to start breaking myself from Apple ecosystem. As someone who relies heavily on the capabilities of their device, I am very happy with this purchase! It is a powerful device, takes great pictures, and Windows Phone 8.1(after you upgrade) is fantastic! This is an unlocked phone. For some reason it looks like it was set up for the Mexican market. I had to switch the regional setting to US/Pacific after I got the device. No big deal. I haven't had a tough time replacing almost all of the apps that I depend on that are outside of the basics. For instance, I don't have a replacement for both iBank and Olive Tree Bible Reader. Outside of those two apps I never look back at my iPhone for anything. Hope this helps people trying to pick a device.

Oh yeah and the screen is large! You get used to it in a week. Onlookers don't get used to it that quickly. You also have to get used to holding a device with buttons on the side. I kept turning on the camera by mistake for a while. Anyway, it has been a couple weeks and I still love the device. Only thing that I would tell someone new to non-iPhones is that you will want to invest in a microSD card that has a fast data transfer rate. When you take pictures as large as the pics this phone's camera takes, it is annoying to have to wait for the images to get saved to the card. Anyway I bought this phone elsewhere, but since I always come to Amazon for reviews I figured this might be helpful to someone. That is all I have to say.
