Great tires here. I rode my bike all through last winter in Vermont--not an easy task to do in -22F snowy weather! Not every day was so cold, but from Jan-April we didn't have a day without ice on the ground, and I didn't slip at all with these tires on my bike. I ride a Specialized Tricross, which has enough room for the tires to fit fine. I'll install them again in a couple weeks when the weather turns bad :) Highly recommended!

I waited 5 months to write a review so I'd know how to really rate these tires. I live near Minneapolis, I bike to work every day, rain, snow, and ice storms... And even if is -15 degrees out. This has been the worst winter I have seen in my life, any midwesterner could agree, and I feel like I have exposed these tires to anything that winter can throw at them. I haven't lost any studs, they've kept grip in bad situations, and they don't grind my fenders with snow too often. I would recommend these tires for anyone looking to get extra grip, and a product that won't fall apart on them mid-season. I estimate that I've covered maybe 500 miles so far (it's early March right now), and had one minor slip-out, but didn't fall. So, I'd say go for it, they have held up great for me, and hopefully for you too.

These tires have been great so far. I've had them for a few months now and I have not slipped or felt I was losing control on ice no matter how much of it I aimed for. My traction in snow has also been superb though traction in thick snow and slush is obviously not good but that is true for any tire.

The one con of this and any other studded tire is they are loud. People turn their heads all the time when I really pick up speed with these. Eventually you get used to it.

Traction on dry surfaces is not diminished at all from my experience (some people think the studs cause the tire to slip on concrete) and I have taken some really sharp corners at 20+ and haven't had any slipping.

Bottom line is you will not be disappointed with these tires if traction on snow and ice is important to you.

I'm a 12 month bike commuter and I was never surprised by black ice while I had these on my bike this past winter and the rugular knobs do very well on mixed terrain. Also, didn't lose a single stud from either tire.

Got them. Waiting for the snow and ice, bring it on. They seem very good, a bit more rolling resistance than I expected but it's a great workout to start the day!
