Product Description

Why Nokon? They use a unique linked alumiunum housing that's compressionless, rust - proof, resistant to kinking, and significantly lighter than traditional housing . Complete, ready - to - install cables and housing for your front and rear derailleurs . You'll get 55 .1" of linked housing and two stainless steel cables for the Campy - specific set, and 51 .2" of linked housing and two stainless steel cables for the Shimano set . This system is hugely popular with Dura - Ace fans becuase the linked housing allows you to run your cables beneath your handlebar tape and eliminate the "antennae" look of traditional Shimano cables and housing .

1.0 out of 5 stars Nokon System, January 9, 2009

This review is from: Nokon Shift Cable System (Misc.)
I installed these on my 10 speed road bike. My existing Shimano system was showing ware and the cables were starting to bind causing shifting problems. Installation was lengthy since I used the Nokon brake system also. The looks were great especially how the systems routes the cables on the handlebars. But sorry to say that was the only good I could find. I tried everything to make the system work. Even replaced their cables with Teflon cables but could never get the shifting right. After continuously experiencing shift problems on hills, I went back to Shimano cables and the problem disappeared. Good side the brake system worked fine.
