Great way to break in a glove,
This review is from: Nokona NLT Classic Leather Glove Conditioner (Sports)
I bought a new Rawlings glove a couple of months ago, and have played catch with it quite a bit since then. However, the glove wasn't breaking in as quickly as I'd hoped, so I purchased this product. The Nokona Leather Treatment has worked beautifully on my glove. I applied the treatment yesterday afternoon, and after leaving it on overnight with a ball in the pocket of the glove and the glove tied up with a shoelace, I played catch with it today. The glove is much more comfortable now, and well on its way to being broken in, with a gorgeous pocket to boot.
If you're like me, you've probably already looked up how to break in a baseball glove online and seen all the ridiculous answers. Before trying anything as drastic as baking or microwaving your glove (which quite possibly will cause the leather to crack), or dragging your glove behind your car (really??), give this product a go. It should do the trick. The only drawback was that applying the product was a bit messy, but it comes right off the hands when you wash them in some warm water.

Petroleum Jelly anyone,

Prior to Nakona having their own product, they simply recommended petroleum jelly (like vasoline). Guess what this stuff is?...Petroleum jelly!!! So, what's the difference? It says Nakona on the label and they charge you about double. So, if you don't mind paying double for something you can get at the grocery store, this stuff works exactly as they say.

Buy some cheap vasoline...,

Do not spend $8.00 on this. Go to the store and pick up a $0.99 tube of petrolium jelly and wham...you saved $7.01. THis is a prime example of name brand marketing to sell a product that costs Nakona two cents. RIP OFF.

I use it to clean and preserve my softball glove, it seems to work fine, but I'm not sure that Vaseline petroleum jelly wouldn't do the same thing. I looked around quite a bit for what I needed; found this product at a sporting goods, but was much more expensive. I clean my glove after each use so I'll continue to use this product unless I find something better.

this stuff made my glove extremely greasy. it did help the leather become a little bit more supple, but overall it was pretty ineffective. it was a lot easier to use than typical glove oil, but i didn't like the feel that it left afterwards. the greasy feeling also attracted more dirt.

I bought this conditioner along with the Nokona mallet to break in my daughter's new glove. This conditioner is different than most other ones on the market today. This conditioner is more of a gel type paste as opposed to an oil like most other conditioners. It is very thick but goes on and spreads smoothly. This, to me, allows for deeper penetration of the leather and produces amazing results.
Having tried everything in the past to get her glove broken in, the Nokona mallet plus this conditioner were hands down the best, fastest, most effective way to get the job done. The two products together worked magic and her glove. The only thing I would caution is to allow your newly-conditioned glove at least a couple of days to soak in this conditioner and thoroughly "dry" before using it for game play.

This stuff is amazing. I used it on a new glove that I got and it softened it right up! I also got my dad`s old glove out of the shed which was real dried out and stiff. One coat on my dad`s old glove brought new life into it!
I love that this is an ointment and not messy like other leather conditioners you find. It`s real easy to work into the smaller spaces because of this. :)

Nokona -best glove condition I have used. Worked well and quickly to soften VERY stiff Nokona glove. Better than oils or heat treaters or shaving cream.
