The good points: Helmet is very convenient to use; the ratchet strap is great; the anti-fog insert works really well, despite being a pain to install; visibility is excellent; build quality seems good. The inner visor, while not ideal in terms of size/shape, works pretty well.

Now the bad: It's really loud compared to my other helmet. Most times I can get away without wearing earplugs in my Bell....I wouldn't want to do that with this lid. It's literally probably twice as loud. It also, despite being the correct size, leaves weird "bumps" on my forehead after I wear it for a long time--there must be soft spots in the foam that allow my forehead to come in contact w/ cutaway parts of the inner helmet...or at least that's my theory. The first time I wore it for an hour, it looked like I had two giant mosquito bites in the center of my forehead.

This is my second Nolan after I sold the first one with my previous motorbike ... only difference is that this one is a Medium and fits me better than the Large. The seller had a good range of sizes, and I was better able to get a good fit.
Not having to carry sun glasses is a huge convenience and the full to 3/4 switching feature is awesome for freeway to street driving or just not taking off your helmet if you need to chat on the phone, eat, drink, smoke, etc.
Price at $301 was a steal, my previous one was $380, not sure how they did it.
Weight is just right in the mid 3 lb range, aerodynamics is streamlined, noise is low (remember that too much noise insulation is a hazard if it keeps you from hearing nearby traffic, sometimes you want to hear what's around you).
Great system all around.

Overall this helmet is excellent. I've commuted (in heavy traffic) everyday for two months and found it to be very light weight, with a great field of view and reasonably quiet.
The sizing was right on for me. Although, as others have mentioned elsewhere, it is a bit tight at first in the cheek pads. It did loosen up after about a week, yet I still need to open the chin guard and pull apart slightly on the cheek pads (and sides of helmet) to get the helmet on and off. This doesn't really bother me as the helmet feels secure and comfortable once on.

Internal shield is ok. Easy to deploy and retract, but wish it was a bit darker. As others mentioned, the nose cutout is strangely squared off and the shield doesn't go down as far as I would like, but overall it is acceptable.

External shield is large which helps with the field of view, but you absolutely need to use the included pinlock insert, or the shield fogs easily. There is no real vent option. It basically goes from closed to almost nose level. I'd like to have an option in between to allow some airflow, but not distract my view. The biggest issue for me is when the external shield is all the way up. I like to ride with the shield up when temps rise, but the shield tends to vibrate and move side-to-side when above 40 mph. This tends to mess with view as it seems to shake my head. This was not an issue with my previous helmet. It's not a deal breaker, but something to consider.

The quick release chin strap is ok. On one hand, it is really easy to get on and off - on the other, it tends to irritate my adam's apple. The buckle is a bit bulky and irritates when I move side-to-side. I will attempt to adjust the length to see if that helps, but it is a bit difficult to adjust as there is not a lot of room to work on the strap.

I really love this helmet. Light, quiet, and great field of view. The negatives are minor in my situation. Very much an improvement over my previous helmet

My riding is about 1,500 miles/month Interstate and 300 miles/month local. I have about 3K miles with the helmet now. At 23", my head measures just below the Large size and I bought the large.

Like: Integration with the B4 Com unit, pin lock shield, drop down visor, Value, customer support, quiet. Dislike: Ventillation, microlock chin strap

Comfort: My first long trip with this helmet was only two days after I bought it -- it wasn't broken in yet. Within an hour, the cheek pads were so tight that they were really painful but were more bearable by 1,000 miles. Now, they are quite comfortable.

Quietness: My review of the B4 comm unit is under that unit but basically this helmet is quiet enough to hear music/radio/GPS and to talk on the phone. It is not as quiet as my old full face (Shoei Qwest) but it's quite good for a modular. With ear plugs, it's really great although, after about 8 hours with ear plugs this helmet starts to hurt my ears. I expect that to clear up as the helmet continues to break in.

Other features: The pin lock works pretty good, it would work better if the helmet were better ventilated (see below), but it's not bad. The drop down visor is good, I wish that it were darker but there are probably regulations limiting how dark manufacturers can make these things. The visor is really needed with this helmet because my sunglasses are not comfortable with this helmet. I'm not sure that I could wear this helmet if I wore glasses.

Ventilation: On my long distance bike (Victory Cross Country Tour, lots of wind protection) and my local runabout (Suzuki C50, medium windshield), the vents on this helmet do nothing at any speed. On a friend's naked bike at interstate speeds, the vents have minimal effect.
