It's great to have some really positive role models finally appear again in baseball that kids & adults can both enjoy.Topping the list is Nomar Garciaparra.His talents on the field are matched in life by the positive role model-life he leads.Just watching him play ball is a joy! Reading about what it takes to make a major league baseball player will inspire many youngsters out there. After reading this book you'll be looking for baseball tickets yourself just to cheer him on.Today ,in this world, we need more stories out there for kids about people who are role models, who DO achieve goals,dreams, & also lead a positive life. Nomar does all of these, creats an excitment along with it. I throughly enjoyed this myself & encouraged my children to read it. How lucky I am to live near Boston and be able to watch him play!Nomar is a winner before he ever swings the bat! You'll enjoy this one!
