4.0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to bare feet in your yoga class
I attend yoga twice a week at the Y. The classes are held in a room with hardwood floors like you find on a basketball court. Since I use their mats -- and so do many other bare-footed people whose hygiene may be questionable -- I choose to wear socks. Also the room is kept very air-conditioned making bare feet uncomfortable for that reason.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware!
My shoe size is 10. The options listed were S, M, and L. I ordered the large. The sock is an extremely uncomfortable tight fit...more like a medium. Far too tight to wear. Overall quality seems OK though, about what I was led to expect. I have blown $25 on the 3-pack. Proceed at your own risk.

I was wearing regular cotton ankle socks at first, but some of our poses result in our standing directly on the floor rather than on the mat. I found I was nervous about slipping on the slick floor, so I started looking for slipper socks with tread on the bottoms. Oddly, I couldn't find any except very expensive ones designed for geriatric customers.

Then I found these. I did think they were on the expensive side, which is why only 4 stars. I do love them though. They're cozy and they help me keep from slipping in class. Two thumbs up.

These socks are super comfortable and really non-slip, excellent for Pilates / ballet bar / core strength exercises.

I wear size 9-9.5, and Medium fits perfectly, not too snug and not loose.

I'm an active 39 year old male. I bought these as I was in the process of waiting for a back surgery and needed to minimize slips around my house on our hardwood floors during recovery. I'm a 10 1/2 and bought these socks according to the sizing chart with no issue contrary to one review I read. These socks are very good quality and have served their purpose for me. I will definitely utilize these when I get back to exercising/stretching. My only negative is I think the price is a little steep. But, I guess you get what you pay for?

3.0 out of 5 stars It could have been a good investment, February 26, 2007

These socks arrived and I ordered them in a medium using their sizing chart displayed online. However, when I received them and tried them on, I actually needed a small. The socks must run large. So, for that I was a little disappointed because I wanted to use them in yoga and the larger size offered a lack of support.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exercise socks almost as good as barefoot., October 2, 2008

These socks are of excellent quality. My feet are always cold, so I don't go barefoot. The grippies on the bottom of the socks make the socks *almost* as good as barefoot while doing my yoga exercises. I would recommend them for anyone not wanting to exercise barefoot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exersocks for guys?, May 13, 2007
I saw one of the ladies in my Pilates class wearing these and thought I would give them a try. Being the only heterosexual male in the class, it took a leap of faith and lots of sexual self-confidence to try them. But, just like the football players who wear pantyhose to keep warm during outside winter play, these socks did live up to expectations. They give reasonably good traction on a smooth floor (better than bare feet but less than sneakers) while allowing foot flexibility during certain movements. They would earn 5 stars if they had a less feminine look.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, June 14, 2011

Originally I purchased these socks for a 93 year old lady who likes to wear socks around her home and had slipped and fallen on her hard wood floors. My friend has not fallen since wearing these socks. I liked them so much that I bought some for myself. When they arrived the socks were mercifully not packaged with any packing material...these are socks! They are true to size, they stay on my feet during Pilates and they are remarkably thick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crescent Socks, April 18, 2011

I wasn't pleased with the fact they didn't reference the sizes on the site, it just said small medium and large. I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, ordered the small, and they fit perfectly - snug but not too tight or stretched out. Highly recommend these socks for Barre class.

I bought a pair of socks for all my pilates clients for Christmas and all of them have been very pleased with them. Many have actually bought some more for themselves. They feel more secure with their feet in any position on the equipment. The socks were a simple gift and made me a hero to my clients.
