5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
I used these stories once-a-week for read-alouds. The students listened intently to these interesting stories for details as they looked forward to writing their own ending. Whether they worked in small group, pairs, or individually, they enjoyed sharing their predictions and eagerly anticipated the "true" ending from the story. Fiction Comprehension Cliffhangers is fun...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but time consuming
The story articles in this book are fine, but I was hoping this would be a quick "change-up" or transition type of activity. I find it really takes a bit of time to do well. If I had a self contained classroom with the same class throughout the...

I taught a reading intervention course for 6 - 8th graders, and these stories kept my students' interest. I used about one a week-- kids were generally interested in the topics, and not all stories had predictable endings. Well worth the money. Great collection.

Book is in great condition and it takes a while to get the hang of this book, I would HIGHLY recommend that you read it over before you try a lesson. I am letting the 4th grade teachers and 5th grade teachers borrow it to use in their classes!

I found the book very thin and there are no questions about reading which makes it useless for my students
