In our company, we offer both products and services. Some our services are training sessions for our clients. We travel to their location or use teleconferencing to train them in ways to use the products they buy from us. We also train them in several key aspects of the business, such as how they can minimize their costs. A few weeks ago an associate asked if we should consider putting together a generic package or two that was a mini-course, especially focusing on our safety tips (we are players in the in-ground pool industry, among other water-related services). That way, we can not just offer courses ourselves but we can SELL courses to clients and potential clients, as well as others who just need to know the information we teach. The problem? Nobody in-house could write a teachable guide. Even my lead instructor and trainer is great in front of an audience but can't write well. InfoProduct Blueprint Formula came to the rescue for us! It truly is a BLUEPRINT, an OUTLINE of how to create an overall seminar structure for us in written format. Our biggest stumbling block seemed to be not getting a good focus of our ideas into written form but this book offers a step-by-step approach on how to turn what we do into a great guide that we can sell. We are just days away from finishing up, then we send it to be formatted, and we'll have a product!

I have known about information products and the lure of them for some time. I teach Finance and Algebra at a community college and I've been wanting to produce my own courseware for a while. I learned from a writer named Tim Ferriss how lucrative information products can be but one has to do it right. You can't slap some pages and a CD together and expect people to buy it. I have been taking way too long to do this but Info-Product Blueprint Formula got my attention because I need hand-holding for a while. I heard a lot tell me WHAT I needed to do but not HOW I was to go about it the right way. It is obvious to me that Robert Boduch knows what he's talking about and has done this a long time. I think that he implemented his own techniques that he teaches here to produce this book! Because it's easy to follow and he gives you the guidelines on what to do. Just follow this blueprint and you'll have your own information product (or "Info-Product" as he calls them) sooner than you expected.

I was expecting more information about how to create a blue print, but I did not find very much on how to. Instead, it emphasized the need for a plan. Plus, it seemed repetitive repeating the same ideas over and over.

Mr. Boduch is not the greatest writer--but he tells you before hand--he provides a step by step on how to write.
However, what he does not deliver in his book he more than makes up in links and other goodies.
I recommend this book; now, if you buy some of his other products--it will then be an excellent reading.

This really is a step by step guide for information products. I have the steps written out on Pages and literally go through filling in the blanks. Works great. Has made things so much easier for me. It enables me to get the ideas in my head onto paper in an organised way.
