THE CUP OF NOODLES ALTERNATIVE,

Nong Shim Bowl Noodle - Hot and Spicy Flavor
Nong Shim Bowl Noodle is the Cup of Noodles alternative for people who like to eat seasoned and spicy foods. Although both Nong Shim Bowl Noodle are high in sodium and probably around the same level with regard to nutritional value, this bowl of soup although not intended to act as a complete meal, can certainly be a good portion of a meal, adding on additional side dishes like a bowl of rice, a fried egg, or eaten with a Korean favorite "kimchee." A tasty bowl of soup that is quick to prepare (add hot water and wait a few minutes) and ready to enjoy.

The Hot and Spicy Nong Shim Noodle Bowl definitely delivers on its promise of spiciness. When I first tried this product I couldn't believe the heat level. But that's what kept me coming back for another bite. The flavor is salty, but appealing. I should say here that I consider jalapeno peppers to be spicy. The Noodle Bowl is easy to prepare. All that's needed is to pull back the bowl's cover halfway, to add boiling water to the level indicated, to cover the bowl back up and to wait a few minutes until the noodles have steamed. In addition to the noodles, there are colorful little wafers that taste like seafood. There are probably 3 or 4 of these in the bowl. There are also roughly 2 little yellow pellets that I believe are egg. There's a bit of diced green onion, as well. Two things I wish I'd have been aware of before developing a fondness for this product is that one serving is half the bowl, and also the nutrition data. 380 calories for whole bowl [Hereafter abbreviated to WB.] 160 calories from fat [WB] 16 grams fat [WB] 1840 mg of Sodium [WB] 50 grams Carbohydrates [WB] 8 grams Protein [WB]

This soup bowl is good, but it is very spicy and hot. Like the first review said it is high in sodium so it's nothing you want to eat daily but once in awhile is good. I have added dried veg like corn to the bowl with the added seasonings. I have also added cooked chicken and shrimp to the bowl. It combines to make a very good soup/meal. They're great for lunch, especially if your lunch break is less than an hour like mine.

If you like spicy noodles, give this one a try! Just add boiling water and you have a large, filling bowl of noodles. Very convienent if you're on the go. However, I must take off one star because this IS NOT the healthiest choice. It's loaded with startchy carbs, lots of sodium and is not exactly a natural food. Not the best choice if you are on a diet or have food restrictions BUT it tastes really good and certainly healthier than some fast foods. I myself only eat them once in a while. The other flavors in this brand I didn't care for but this one is a winner for sure!
