After reading the reviews on these, I was confused. One reviewer said it was too small for her kids, another said it was too big. I figured I needed to find out for myself, so I took a chance and purchased one. I'm pleasantly surprised. I have 3 kids, ages 7, 5 and 1. I originally intended to purchase 3, but I think I'll go with 2 for now. This will definitely be too big for the baby, and I don't think she'd be able to use it as intended until she's at least 2 or 3. By that time my oldest MAY have outgrown it. I have skinny kids with thin necks and regular-sized heads. These will be perfectly sized for them. I suppose if you have an enormous 9-year old this might be too small, but I think an adult could even use it if they needed to.

I love the softness of the pillow, and the fact that it's machine washable. People drool when they sleep. Especially kids. I couldn't believe that some of the competing products out there were surface-wash only fabric. What were they thinking? I love all of the different animals, I had a hard time choosing, but finally chose the pink hippo and the green alligator. Adorable!

I only gave the product 4-stars because it is made in China, and I think something like this could have just as easily been made in Europe or North America, and I wouldn't have to worry about what kind of chemicals it might have been sprayed with. I'm definitely going to wash mine before I let the kids use them. Hopefully the kids will like them for our 6-hour Christmas road trip, but if not...I'll be the crazy woman on the New Jersey Turnpike sleeping with a pink hippo around her neck :)

We have two of these; the other one (different company) is not nearly as soft, and my son doesn't use it much. This one is luxurious and sweet and my daughter loves it. We bought both for a long plane trip, and the other one was hardly used. Highly recommend this kind.

I purchased these for my 9, 7, & 4 year old. They are really too small for my 9 & 7 yearold but it is almost too small for my 4 year old. So really more for very young children. They are very cute and besided being too small would be perfect.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter because we have been doing quite a bit of traveling. She was irritated with it when she was tired and wanted to sleep in her car seat, so she would just push it away. But after she slept, I would wrap it around her neck from the front. That worked with her and her head didn't drop front or sides. She isn't too crazy about the horse either, but that may be because she has her other favorite ones with her.

Overall, I think it is a good soft neck pillow for kids. The characters make it a fun & interesting plush toy.

This bear is great for it's intended use as a neck pillow. Very soft and not too bulky.

The pillow is very cute, my daughter loves it, and it serves the purpose when she's actually willing to put it around her neck, instead of just hugging it. We got it because we transitioned her to a bigger car seat that doesn't have very wide sides to lean her head against when she sleeps in the car. This pillow does help keep her head from flopping forward. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought these for my two children (ages 4 and 8) for long car trips. I was pleased that they weren't so firm so that they pushed their necks forward or so tight that they were uncomfortable. They fit both children well - even my 8 year-old. They love that they are so soft and comfortable. I was also unsure whether the head on the cat would stick up too much and be annoying, but the whole thing is squishy (while still serving it's purpose) and neither child has complained. I had previously bought a couple of neck supports thinking that it was a great idea for the car only to be disappointed that my children thought they were uncomfortable and refused to use them. I have felt other neck supports in stores that cost more than these and they just felt so firm and thick that I knew they would be uncomfortable, like the other ones we had. Happily, I took a chance and these are different. I would recommend these.

very please on how fast it arrived but I did not realize it was for babies 18months & up. hopefully it will be useful when he reaches that age.

I was a bit wary reading others' complaints about size, but I decided to go with this brand because it looked soft and comfy and the kids loved the look of them. We got the Cat, Moose, and Pig for my 3 kids, an average-sized 7 year old and very large 5 and 3 year olds. They are a great size, I'd even say they are big enough that the kids will get several years' use out of them.

I wouldn't use them in the car, because they could interfere with correct position of the head; let's face it, if your kid slumps out of a backless booster, s/he needs a high-backed booster; if your kid slumps out of a high-backed booster s/he needs a 5-point harness; if your kid can't sleep comfortably in a forward-facing harness s/he is probably young enough to be rear-facing and should be, for safety. ;) But we are not taking car seats on the plane this time (first time ever! We're taking safe and easily portable travel restraints instead- 2 Safe Traffic Systems GD10101PWB Safe Rider Travel Vest Small 30 - 60 lb - 34 - 52 Inches - Pink Ride Safer Travel Vests and a BubbleBum Inflatable Car Booster Seat) since it's unwise to check regular car seats lest they be damaged, and my older 2 will be in the lap belt only on the plane, while the 3 year old will be in a AmSafe's CARES Child Aviation Restraint System - A16239 CARES harness, so I'm thinking they will really appreciate extra neck and head comfort for resting on our loooong flight.

I love that these are machine-washable, and that they are sooo soft and cuddly. They'll make a great travel substitute for the Pillow Pets my kids adore (which they are not bringing on this trip because, well, I don't want to carry them.) They will double as a stuffed animal to sleep with in the hotel. They're well made and the price was entirely reasonable (2 of the 3 were less than the $15 list price but even the $15 wasn't bad- I paid $30 for a not-quite-as-nice adult neck pillow!), especially with Prime shipping! They're small enough to fit inside a kid-size backpack (even the little mini Skip Hop backpacks my kids have) and yet big enough to be comfy for the kids. I forsee years of enjoyment!

I bought this neck pillow for my granddaughter, who has gone from a carseat to a booster seat. She falls asleep frequently in the car, so I thought this would be perfect. When it arrived (right on time!!) it was really dirty on one side. It was in an unsealed bag and looked like it was either run over or stepped on. I cleaned it the best I could since it was a birthday gift that I didn't have time to send back. She loves it, but it doesn't hold her head in a comfortable position if she falls asleep. So, I'd say it is great as a stuffed animal, but doesn't do what I thought it should.
