I picked up a pair of these with a great on-line deal. These RIO in-ear headphones sound as good as my $300 on-ear Bose or over-ear noise-cancelling Able Planet phones, with remarkable full range sound reproduction and great passive noise cancelling (assuming 1 of the 3 supplied sizes of rubber tips fit well for you). The phones are quite heavy compared to other in-ears, but that does not affect their comfort. Unfortunately, I can only use these when I am passive, such as sitting and reading, or just sitting and listening to music; I cannot use these with any kind of activity. The 4 mm wide, 4 foot ribbon-type chord GREATLY amplifies any movement, such as rubbing on my beard or shirt/ jacket collar; many headphones have this problem, but never to this extreme extent (and I have over a dozen different kinds of good quality headphones). This can be pretty much mitigated by using a couple of small spring-type paper clips securely clamping the chord against clothing... actually this is a good idea for any headphone chord since this cuts down on wear movement on any connections that could break from use; just be sure not to clamp the clip's feet on the cable as that could damage the cable. Two problems still remain though. I tried using them for walking, but any breeze/ wind hitting the phones is quite amplified; this is usually only a problem with on or over-ear phones and is why I like to use good in-ear phones on windy days. Also, maybe because the seal is so good, the sound of my feet hitting the pavement is conducted through my bones and drowns out the music. This negates the benefits of good outside noise cancellation, keeping the music volume to a level where there is no possible hearing damage.Read more ›

How this company's headphones aren't more popular is beyond me. I bought the Zoros off of Tanga a month ago. They amazed me and I am a bit of headphone collector if you will. So when I saw the RIOs come on Woot.com a week ago, I had to get them. I have to say, these are hands down the best in ear headphones I've heard. Rich bass, but clear as can be. Great mids and highs. Noontec may model their headphones after Beats a bit, but they absolutely blow Beats away in sound quality. Test for yourself.

I am not big on leaving reviews but I think these earphones deserve it.
It absolutely does look like a ripoff of the Dr. Dre Beats (not so much in person though, they look much better). However, the sound is much much better than those outrageously expensive and awkward (if you have tried the beats, you know what I am talking about) earbuds.
I had the Klipsch S4i for a year or two (were my favorites), I ended up losing them.
Then I bought the Bose MIE2i and they stopped working within 6 months.
I was tired of shopping for earbuds but I am definitely keeping these. They sound better than both the S4i and the MIE2i and I can finally hear bass in an earbud with clear mids and highs. I can compare these to over-the-head headphones, that's how good they are.
If you are on the fence, BUY THESE! You will not regret it.
Oh and Noontec if you are reading this, you gotta revamp your marketing department, you guys sell amazing products and don't advertise them enough, when all these manufacturers are making double/triple profit on subpar products. I almost did not buy these due to the lack of reviews. Cnet has not reviewed these, most online stores only have 3 reviews. Customers want reviews from professionals, so it would be good to send a free pair here and there for reviewing (just my two cents).

I was a little nervous about buying these. The reviews were mainly positive, but there were only 7. As of right now, I am very happy that I decided to go ahead with the purchase. The sound is great. There was a comment earlier about the wire rubbing against a shirt causing extra noise. I have not observed that at all. I really like the flat cord design; it seems to prevent tangling.

I bought these to replace a pair of Monster Beats in-ear headphones that walked away. The quality is at least as good. One of my complaints about the Monster was that even though the sound was great out of the earbuds, they were a little on the heavy side, and after wearing them for more than an hour or so, they would start hanging out of my ear and would actually start to hurt. I had to have a pair of over-the-ear headphones on hand for when that happened. As of right now, the Noontec are much more comfortable and less noticeable in my ears.

Bass is great. As is noise isolation. I work in a busy laboratory and am pleasantly surprised that ambient instrument noise and even loud conversations by coworkers are completely blocked out. I have not yet tried them on public transportation, but that will be the next test of the noise isolation feature.

I am giving this product a 5 star review right now. I will update later if I notice any problems with overall durability, but they seem very well constructed right now.

These are amazing buds. They fit comfortably in my ear and the sound is terrific. I use the buds when I excersize and I have no trouble hearing the music over the sound of the treadmill. The buds cancel out all outside noise which enables me to focus on the music that I am listening to. I reccommend these buds to anyone who is looking for a durable and good fitting pair of earbuds.
