I purchased my NT-204 new from the dealer in Greenville SC 3/28/02, which makes it just shy of 5 yrs. It has 470 hrs and has been serivced and maintianed regurlarly.
Near the end of the 06 mowing season which it was home used almost exclusively on a 1 acre flat yard, the PSI gauge began fluctuating. Fluids were checked and then stored for winter. Upon pre spring check, noticed H-2-0 pump needed replacing, Then noticed GREEN ANTI_FREEZE and oil mixed. Pulled head and found block to be cracked. while attempting to order parts was informed that parts are limited to whats on hand as they no longer make or stock parts. SO I have a $7000.00 piece of scrap metal in my barn. WANT TO BY IT??? I don't think so. ALso purchased the extended warranty repair plan to cover parts. Threw away that money as well. Free shipping might pay the haul off and disposal fee. Glad my son who is in the landscpae business was smarter than his old man and didn't buy one for business purposes. Oh, by the way, I can't get mike in the service center to return my calls regarding the parts they do have on hand. Whihc are very limited. I understand that do have an engine. But it is missing the water pump. Bet I know where it went... Oh Well - Get me once, shame on you; Get me twice, shame on me...
