Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Norcent's affordable DP-302V features dual NTSC/PAL video outputs, built-in MP3 decoding, and a dual-laser pickup for compatibility with not only DVDs and CDs, but MP3-filled CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well. Top-of-the-line component-video outputs help minimize digital and line-scan artifacts on compatible advanced televisions, while composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any television.

In the audio realm, the unit offers Dolby Digital 5.1-channel decoding and passthrough, so you can enjoy immersive, theater-like surround sound with just about any multichannel receiver and speaker setup. Some older audio/video receivers do not offer digital-audio inputs or discrete multichannel surround processing, but do feature the appropriate analog inputs for use with a surround-decoding DVD player such as the DP-302V. If you do have Dolby Digital decoding in your AV receiver, you can use either of the player's digital-audio outputs (one each of RCA coaxial and Toslink optical) for a direct digital connection.

Playback options include an onscreen menu, parental lock, resume/memory play, eight-grade fast or slow motion, nine-image digest viewing, memory play, A-B repeat, and picture zoom.

What's in the Box
DVD player, full-function remote control, user's manual, stereo analog audio interconnect/composite-video cable, user's manual, warranty information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tested - works vey well in India (220-240V, PAL TV System) !, November 6, 2003
This review is from: Norcent DP302V DVD Player (Electronics)
I talked with my brother in India. He was successfully able to play DVDs in India without any issues by directly plugging in AC outlet (without 240/220 v to 120/110 v convertor) and by selecting Pal from N/P button. It is awesome!! Go for it!! Very small, very good. Highly recommended. A++++

5.0 out of 5 stars Region break for 302V, September 28, 2003
This review is from: Norcent DP302V DVD Player (Electronics)
Well this is what many of you are waiting for, I have this player and I just now got rid of the region...
Do this -
Power on
Open/Close
Setup (You'll see the setup screen)
8 8 8 8
Press "Next" (>>| button i.e. chapter change button)
The setup screen flashes and you'll see that a new button "Version" appears on the screen. There you can set the region code to 0.

Now I have no been able to test the player with multiple region DVD(s) but I am sure it would work. Well DP300 hack was working.
btw all credit for this to www.regionfreedvd.net
