I purchased this refrigerator for our off-grid cabin. I have not installed it yet but plan to do so the third week of August. I am excited about finally getting a refrigerator and freezer on the property. The price of the refigerator was the best I found for a brand new one. This is an RV refrigerator meant to be built in to an RV. I am adding an insulated box with R40 insulation and DC fans for the intake and exhaust. Since an off-grid project is extremely expensive, we are progressing in small steps. We have a LP generator and one 175ah battery for a start. We will use the refrigerator on gas and DC for awhile. We have a 120' tower and are currently investigating wind turbine options. We eventually want the refrigerator to be able to run from DC power. We may have to innovate some more efficiency factors and do some testing but that is the fun of a project like this. After we have it running for awhile, I will update my review.

It did not come with panels for the doors so I will need to find something to cover the unsightly unfinished doors. It would be nice if that were mentioned in the ad along with an option or link to buy them. Shipping was fast and free. The box was not damaged and the refrigerator is in great shape.
