I posted the review below for the Childrens Nordic Naturals version. But I thought it would be helpful here as well. So I am posting the review below. I know I started to have the big question of hey can I get the childrens one...and this is what I found out from having tried both and looking at the labels.

We have had our adopted daughter since she was 7 months old. Not being able to breastfeed we wanted to give her as many positive dietary items as we could. Of course we could not do a controlled experiment but this has seemed to help her. She is developing well and she has no problem with taking this or the infant DHA Nordic Naturals at all. The developing great is very encouraging because she has a genetic deletion and her mom was malnourished and had no prenatal care. Our daughter was also underfed for the first 6 weeks plus of her life. It seemed she started doing more with vocalbulary and being interested in things after starting the DHA. Would she have anyway? I truly can't say.

After using the infant version I was curious about the Children's version because per ounce this one is vastly better priced. So here is what I found. The label for the infant's DHA lists the amount of DHA and EPA per 4 ml (a serving size is 1 to 4 ml). The Children's DHA lists a serving size as 2.5 ml. When you correct you are getting the same amount of DHA and EPA per serving. But you get 8 ounces here as compared to 2 ounces. For way less than 4 times as much. What you are not getting is the higher levels of D3 in the infant. This one also has a strawberry taste that the infant does not. So if you are buying this for DHA and EPA, this is a much better per ounce price. I wish I had known that sooner.

I love the Nordic Naturals brand and my husband and I both use their products. However, the Baby DHA product is straight cod liver oil and honestly stinks to high heaven. We added it to his bottles and afterwards our hands stunk and it was hard to wash off the smell. After 2 days all of the baby's diapers were smelling like fish and we gave it up. I'll have to find another way to supplement DHA in the baby's diet. Yuck!!

I contacted Nordic Naturals after posting this review and they sent me a free bottle. The free bottle did not smell and the company explained that unauthorized dealers sometimes sell the oxidized product, which is likely what I received.

I have been feeding this to my 1 year old baby for a couple of weeks. My little one likes it. Even though the taste could be fishy for an adult (I tried a spoon of it), it seems the baby does not care.
Another concern of mine was the radiation contamination from Fukushima accident. I spent sometime to do homework online on this issue. Finally I was convinced that this Nordic Naturals' product, which is made from Norwegian Arctic Cod, should be safe. Norwegian Arctic cod's habitat is roughly between Greenland and Barents Sea, an isolated area from Pacific waters, which makes it very unlikely to be contaminated. I also checked online for any report about fish radiation contamination. No source points to Norwegian Cod. So, though some seafood is contaminated, this product is relatively safe.

I have 21 month old twins and thought I needed to add DHA back into their diets. DHA and EPA are very important for brain and eye development. I researched for a long time trying to find the best product out there (a lot to choose from) and decided on the Baby DHA by Nordic Naturals. I was confused though between Baby DHA, Infant DHA and Children's DHA. I went onto their website and got all my questions answered. I think Baby DHA and Infant DHA are the same product but now just goes by Baby DHA. Anyway it does smell very fishy and I was worried my girls would not take it. It is not flavored like other products. My twins will only drink warm milk. I put their dosage 3x's a day in their milk and I was surprised that they drank it right down with no complaints. They either don't mind it, or don't notice. They have been taking it now for about two weeks and I am now noticing that they are talking a lot more. I attribute it to the Baby DHA. I am very happy with this product. But, if you are buying this for the first time I would only buy one and the smallest size to test it out to make sure your child will like it before spending too much money. There are other DHA products out there that are flavored and mixed in with a multivitamin.

This product smells so bad. I understand it is perhaps beneficial to baby's health, but after 2 days use of this thing, my son started to smell like a fish, even his sweat smells! everything he uses started to smell like fish - and it's so difficult to clean.

Seems to be the only quality-controlled DHA for babies. It does smell fishy, but I've been putting it in my daighter's formula (and now rice milk) since she was an infant. She's 20 months now & she still drinks it right down.
