I posted the review below for the Childrens Nordic Naturals version. But I thought it would be helpful here as well. So I am posting the review below. I know I started to have the big question of hey can I get the childrens one...and this is what I found out from having tried both and looking at the labels.

We have had our adopted daughter since she was 7 months old. Not being able to breastfeed we wanted to give her as many positive dietary items as we could. Of course we could not do a controlled experiment but this has seemed to help her. She is developing well and she has no problem with taking this or the infant DHA Nordic Naturals at all. The developing great is very encouraging because she has a genetic deletion and her mom was malnourished and had no prenatal care. Our daughter was also underfed for the first 6 weeks plus of her life. It seemed she started doing more with vocalbulary and being interested in things after starting the DHA. Would she have anyway? I truly can't say.

After using the infant version I was curious about the Children's version because per ounce this one is vastly better priced. So here is what I found. The label for the infant's DHA lists the amount of DHA and EPA per 4 ml (a serving size is 1 to 4 ml). The Children's DHA lists a serving size as 2.5 ml. When you correct you are getting the same amount of DHA and EPA per serving. But you get 8 ounces here as compared to 2 ounces. For way less than 4 times as much. What you are not getting is the higher levels of D3 in the infant. This one also has a strawberry taste that the infant does not. So if you are buying this for DHA and EPA, this is a much better per ounce price. I wish I had known that sooner.

I have been feeding this to my 1 year old baby for a couple of weeks. My little one likes it. Even though the taste could be fishy for an adult (I tried a spoon of it), it seems the baby does not care.
Another concern of mine was the radiation contamination from Fukushima accident. I spent sometime to do homework online on this issue. Finally I was convinced that this Nordic Naturals' product, which is made from Norwegian Arctic Cod, should be safe. Norwegian Arctic cod's habitat is roughly between Greenland and Barents Sea, an isolated area from Pacific waters, which makes it very unlikely to be contaminated. I also checked online for any report about fish radiation contamination. No source points to Norwegian Cod. So, though some seafood is contaminated, this product is relatively safe.

Seems to be the only quality-controlled DHA for babies. It does smell fishy, but I've been putting it in my daighter's formula (and now rice milk) since she was an infant. She's 20 months now & she still drinks it right down.

I buy two of these every three months or so. You just put two drops in the first bottle of the day and you are done. It keeps your little one healthy.

I like that this uses better ingredients and doesnt use all those preservatives like the rest do but I baby doesnt seem to enjoy it. The first time he took it no problem, but the next time he tried to spit it out and started crying. Once he swallows it though he stops crying in about 10 seconds so worth the little bit of hassle to know that it is more healthy for him.

This is probably a decent way to get some Vit D in your baby, but DO NOT spill even a drop on clothing. The fishy smell stays on it forever, no matter how many times you wash it. I started putting it on baby's bottom when I was changing his diaper, as the vitamin D will absorb through the skin, and therefore avoid all contact with clothing.

I'm sure this is good for little ones but the taste is so horrible that no one in our house can take it... especially our baby.

i was really surprised that the supplement doesn't try to mask the taste of the fish. I was really nervous that my baby wouldn't like it because of the strong fishy taste. But it just happened that my baby likes fish and every time i take the bottle out she's all happy. I bascially drop 3-4 drops on each spoon full of cereal or food so the taste is not too strong. I dont mix it with food or else the whole bowl of food would smell like fish and after she's done with the food it would take forever for her lips and breath to smell less fishy.
